Hot in Cleveland star Wendie Malick has joined the cast of Fox’s new baseball drama Pitch, EW has learned.
Pitch follows a young female pitcher (Kylie Bunbury) who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.
Malick, whose credits also include Just Shoot Me and Rush Hour, will play Mrs. Maxine Armstrong, a major shareholder of the Padres’ corporate parent.
The actress, who will recur, joins the recently cast JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who will also recur as the ex-wife of Mike Lawson (Mark-Paul Gosselaar).
