Lucifer has tapped 10 Items or Less star Chris Payne Gilbert to play Decker’s late father in season 2, EW has learned.
Gilbert will play Officer John Decker, who was a beat cop on the LAPD. A good man, and even better father, John was killed in the line of duty, sending Chloe (Lauren German) on her path to becoming a detective; she was a 19-year-old starlet just beginning a movie career when he died. Ten years later, when the details of this fateful evening come into question, Chloe will try to give her father the justice he always fought for.
