Killjoys - Heart-Shaped Box - Advance Preview
Aug 12, 2016
Killjoys LM ReviewsKilljoys “Heart-Shaped Box” was written by creator Michelle Lovretta and was directed by April Mullen, whose other credits include Real Detective and Aftermath. This episode picks up the morning after the last episode ended, and the team is dealing with their choices. It turns out that D’Avin (Luke Macfarlane) didn’t kill Sabine (Tori Anderson) after all, but she’s also not the nice little farmgirl he thought either.
Once again, D’Avin interrupts at the wrong time. John (Aaron Ashmore) gets Pawter (Sarah Power) to take out a warrant. The team goes to Turin (Patrick Garrow) for help, and he introduces them to Phil. Turin has a new toy that John really likes. We find out what can kill a 6 and what the Black Root are.
Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) and D’Avin disagree over tactics. Dutch makes a deal. Bellus (Nora McLellan) is reluctant to help John. D’Avin takes a very interesting bath. John and Dutch work together, and then both keep secrets from the other. Dutch gets another new look. John learns something important about the wall around Old Town. Dutch misjudges D’Avin, but Dutch and D’Avin team up when John goes solo. There’s a particularly good fight! Johnny runs into some trouble, and Dutch is reunited with some of her past.
And here are a bunch of dialogue teasers! Some may have been in the promos or previews…
Nice bluff, sack face.
Gotta respect an honest bitch.
It’s like an infection.
We’re 100% off the grid.
You’re a free man.
That wasn’t a test.
You know I can see it, and that’s why you hate me.
Everything you do is a bit about her.
Just tell me you’ll miss me.
Because you’re restrained, and I’m violent.
Because I ask too many stupid questons.
He didn’t train you to be weak when it counts.
Boobs are awesome! They’re like tactical weapons only squishy.
Nothing about this is fair.
The more damaged and antisocial you are, the better fit you are.
Where’s Johnny? We’ve got problems.
That’s not the kind of doctor I want to play with you.
