Manhattan alum Ashley Zukerman has booked a recurring role on Designated Survivor, ABC’s upcoming drama series starring Kiefer Sutherland from The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios. Created by David Guggenheim, Designated Survivor centers on Tom Kirkman (Sutherland), a lower-level cabinet member, who unexpectedly becomes President after a devastating attack on Washington. He will struggle to prevent the country and his own family from falling into chaos, as he is thrust into one of the most difficult presidencies in history.
Zukerman will play Congressman Peter MacLeish, a popular third-term legislator from Oregon. One of the nation’s youngest congressmen, MacLeish is also a decorated veteran of the war in Afghanistan who emerges as a national hero after the Capitol attack. But we soon discover MacLeish is harboring a dark secret and may not be who he seems. Known for his role as Dr. Charlie Isaacs on WGN America’s Manhattan, Zukerman’s other TV credits include Rush, Childhood’s End, and Code. He is repped by APA, Lisa Mann Creative Management, and Cohn/Torgan Management.
