Showtime’s “Billions” has cast James Wolk for a guest role in Season 2, Variety has learned exclusively.
Wolk will play Craig Heidecker, an innovative young tech billionaire, in the sophomore season of the Showtime drama. The star currently headlines CBS’ summer drama series “Zoo,” which was just renewed for a third season. Based on James Patterson’s novel of the same name, “Zoo” is currently the summer’s second most-watched original scripted series on broadcast. “Zoo” airs its two-hour Season 2 finale on Sept. 6.
Season 2 finds the characters vying for control in a changing world that presents an existential threat. For all of them, it’s a choice between evolution and extinction. Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad also star. “Billions” is created, written and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series is also created and executive produced by Andrew Ross Sorkin.
