Charlie DePew (The Amazing Spider-Man) is set to co-star opposite Bella Thorne in Famous In Love, Freeform’s drama series based on Rebecca Serle’s romantic novel.
Written by Serle and I. Marlene King, executive producer/co-showrunner of Freeform’s flagship drama series Pretty Little Liars, Famous In Love centers on Paige (Thorne), an ordinary college student who gets her big break after auditioning for the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster. She must now navigate her new star-studded life and undeniable chemistry with her two co-leads while discovering the highs and lows that come with being the new It Girl in town. DePew will play Jake, a down-to-earth guy from the Midwest with an edge who aspires to be a screenwriter/indie filmmaker.
In television, DePew recurred on MTV’s Awkward and ABC’s The Goldbergs. On the film side, he played Emma Stone’s brother in Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man franchise and will next be seen starring opposite JK Simmons in indie feature The Bachelors.
