Outcast - A Wrath Unseen - Advanced Preview
24 Jun 2016
GN Outcast ReviewsPlot Synopsis: The intrigue in Rome intensifies as Reverend Anderson discovers shocking information about someone close to him. Megan conceals a secret.
Outcast has aired three episodes so far and all three have been compelling drams with the right amount of horror mixed in to satiate anyone's obsession with this genre. Up until now we have seen three (possibly four) 'possessions' and the effect they can have on families and friends. Only one has had a close tie to Kyle, but it was as close as it can get with the object being his mother, Sarah Barnes.
The fourth episode airing tomorrow night, "A Wrath Unseen", follows another case of demonic possession. The character is someone we suspected since the pilot of being possessed, so it does not come as a shock. However, it asks more questions for our dynamic duo of Kyle and Reverend Anderson to answer; is there possibly more instances of possession that have seemingly gone unnoticed to date? How many are there? How have they been able to live their day-to-day lives under the radar, away from prying eyes?
That is mostly what the episode this Friday concerns itself with among the 'B' and 'C' stories we have seen creeping up to the surface lately. Megan has been wrestling with the arrival of a mysterious figure that we learn a lot more about and it is a great addition to the main story line. The other story that is getting more and more screen time is the investigation by Mark and Chief Giles concerning the animal sacrifice in the woods. That story seems to be taking more time to flesh out, but quite a bit more of information comes to light in tomorrow's episode.
Things To Notice
- We see some more of what Kyle's powers can do in this episode. It happens fast, but it's there. Is Kyle going to understand more of his abilities and use them appropriately?
- There are certain tell-tale signs of people who are possessed by demons. Even though the show doesn't hit us over the head with it, like they did with Joshua Austin, perhaps we can still see who 'they' are. See if you can spot who I am talking about in tomorrow's episode.
- The music in the series has been great so far and this episode has a few tracks that are pretty good.
