Sex and the City alum Jason Lewis has joined the cast of NBC’s midseason supernatural drama series Midnight, Texas as a series regular. He will reprise his role from the pilot, which originally had been written as a regular but eventually was cast as a guest starring/recurring.
Based on the book series by True Blood author Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas is set in a remote Texas town where no one is who they seem. From vampires and witches to psychics and hitmen, Midnight is a mysterious safe haven for those who are different. As the town members fight off outside pressures from rowdy biker gangs, ever-suspicious cops and their own dangerous pasts, they band together and form a strong and unlikely family.
Lewis plays Joe Strong, an easygoing tattoo artist with a strong moral compass who lives with his husband and their dog and has supernatural powers of an angel. He joins series regulars François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Sarah Ramos, Peter Mensah, Yul Vazquez and Sean Bridgers.
