12 Monkeys - Lullaby - Advance Preview

12 Monkeys “Lullaby” was written by Sean Tretta and was directed by Steven A Adelson, whose other credits include The Blacklist, Zoo, Helix, and Scorpion. This show never fails to amaze me in finding new ways to play with time. I love the “gimmick” in this one! Get ready for a very 12 Monkey's take on Groundhog Day.

This episode begins with a bang that will leave you with your mouth hanging open. We see that Cassie (Amanda Schull) and Jones (Barbara Sukowa) are united in their shared grief and guilt over the events of the last episode. The bulk of the episode takes place in 2020, so look for Cassie and Cole (Aaron Stanford) to run into a few old friends.

Cole causes some trouble for Cassie. Cole also tells Cassie an interesting and poignant story from his youth, when he was just getting by with Ramse (Kirk Acevedo). Speaking of Ramse, you won’t see a lot of him or Deacon (Todd Stashwick) in this week’s episode.

We find out that Jennifer (Emily Hampshire) has been keeping a huge secret. You will not want to miss a minute of this episode – especially not the first two or the last two minutes! Important – and potentially game-changing events take place at either end of the episode – while a TON happens in the middle!

Just for fun, here are a bunch of one liners from throughout the episode. As always, they are not in order and no hints as to the speaker!

The answer, Mr Cole, has been in front of us the entire time.
You need to do something but nothing.
A glitch in the system caused by the damage to the core.
What comes to mind when I say “hyenas”?
Same day. Different shit.
She’s causality’s fool.
Worry about your own purpose.
Is a little bit of happiness better than a lifetime of anything else?
Maybe time likes time travel?
That number usually represents perfect vision, but it looks like you aren’t seeing very clearly.
I’m a re-boot!
There was another plague – one that ravaged time itself.
To be or not to be. That is the question.
It’s entirely unnecessary to maintain her tether. All that matter is that she arrived.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
My life is my life. My choices.

You will not want to miss a moment of this week’s episode. Don’t forget to tune in to Syfy Monday at 9/8C!
