With that said, EW can now reveal that a main character will perish by season’s end. “As Cole says in the episode, Jennifer’s got 20 years on all of them and has been through adventures that Cole and Cassie haven’t even experienced yet,” executive producer Terry Matalas says. “In that way, she knows how a lot of this is going to play out. When she says the search for Titan leads to death, you should listen; she knows what she’s talking about.”
“No one is safe,” Matalas adds. “Yes, it is a time-travel show. People think, ‘Well, it’s a time travel, you can go back and save a death or see them again.’ That won’t always be the case. There’s significant consequences for doing that. This season, everybody is going to have to face the darkness that’s coming. There’s no stopping it.”
