    Ratings Breakdown:
It was Monday overnight business as usual, with ABC tops in households thanks to “Dancing With the Stars,” and the home of “The Voice,” NBC, the network to beat in adults 18-49 (and all the key young adult demographics).

“Dancing With the Stars” led the night at an 8.1 rating/13 share in the household overnights, which was 29 percent above competing “The Voice” (6.3/10). Compared to the year-ago evening, however, “The Voice” was consistent while “Dancing With the Stars” slipped by 14 percent (versus a 9.4/15 on 5/10/15).

At 10 p.m., ABC’s “Castle,” which is expected to be renewed for season nine, scored a dominant 4.5/ 7 in the overnights, which was 18 percent above NBC’s competing “Blindspot” (#2: 3.8/ 6). Third in the hour was the time period debut of the final season of “Person of Interest” on CBS at a 3.7/ 6. Comparably, “Person of Interest” was 27 percent below the season-finale of “NCIS: Los Angeles” one week earlier (5.1/ 9 on May 2). “Person of Interest” is also airing in the Tuesday 10 p.m. hour.

“Castle,” meanwhile, was 18 percent below the 5.5/ 9 on the year-ago evening.

Earlier in the evening on CBS were two episodes of sitcom “Mike & Molly” at a third-place 4.9/ 8 in both the 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. half-hours. Two more episodes of “Mike & Molly,” including the series finale, air next week. And it led into a repeat of “The Big Bang Theory” (#3: 4.7/ 7 at 9 p.m.) into a 3.6/ 5 for “The Odd Couple” at 9:30 p.m. (#3), which is also airing in the Thursday 8:30 p.m. half-hour.

In week two news, Fox drama “Houdini and Doyle” slipped by two-tenths of a household rating point (or 11 percent) with a 1.6/ 3. Last week, the 1.8/ 3 opener translated into 2.56 million viewers and a 0.7 rating/2 share in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data. Comparably, overnight household retention for “Houdini and Doyle” out of “Gotham” (#4: 2.6/ 4 at 8 p.m.) was modest at 62 percent.

The CW capped off the evening with the low-rated combination of “Reign” and “Jane and Virgin” each at a 0.6/ 1.
