Madam Secretary airs its season finale this Sunday. After a season of tensions with Russia, a terrorist attack on US soil, a manhunt for Jibral Disah and nearly a nuclear war, the season ender basically revolves around three big questions.
The first question is of course the question that was asked at the end of the previous episode. What if Dmitri Petrov, the US spy for Russia that Henry trained who was presumed to be dead, is in fact alive? Obviously, before Bess is going to inform her staff, the President or Henry, she needs proof of Dmitri's life. Searching for that proof will be a big part of the episode.
The third question is a big question for Stevie, because her boyfriend Jareth wants to propose to her. Will Stevie accept his proposal? And what will Bess and Henry have to say about the possibility of their eldest child getting engaged? Will Jareth ask Henry for Stevie's hand? They have only been together for a few months, so maybe it's too soon to get engaged.
A few other teasers from the season finale:
-Mike B returns and has some great interactions with Nadine.
-There is a callback to the pilot episode, and also a returning character that we haven't seen since the very first episode of the show.
-Matt has a speech to write, but when Bess is so busy with everything, she actually asks him to give the speech himself.
-While the episode doesn't necessarily end in a huge cliffhanger, there is one big question left unanswered.
The season finale airs Sunday at 8/7c on CBS. Watch a promo for the episode below.
