12 Monkeys - One Hundred Years - Advanced Preview

12 Monkeys, “One Hundred Years,” was written by Michael Sussman and was directed by David Grossman. Sussman has a terrific sci fi background, having written for both Start Trek: Enterprise and Voyager. I loved Enterprise, and he also wrote for Threshold, another one of my favorite shows that ended much too soon, and which counted among its stars Peter Dinklage! This is another fast paced episode that asks some interesting moral questions of the central characters.

It turns out that Ramsey (Kirk Acevedo) has some important information about the photo of Cassie (Amanda Schull) and Cole (Aaron Stanford) that was found in the last episode. There will also be another picture that leads to another picture that is an important clue. There will be more echoes from season one.

The Emerson Hotel begins to be an important rendez vous, and we get an idea of how Cole was able to set that up. Both Eckland (Michael Hogan) and Lasky (Murray Furrow) prove to be valuable members of the team. Jones (Barbara Sukowa) indicates to Cole that Deacon (Todd Stashwick) may not be what he seems. In fact, the entire team must adapt to an entirely new dynamic.

There are plenty of terrific costumes in this episode, as well as some spectacular locations. Look for at least one really outstanding special effect. Cole, in particular, has some fantastic shoes! Cole will find himself in a shocking situation. Cassie has some harsh words for Cole. The group continues to adjust to the new dynamics between them. Four of the main cast members will end the episode in jeopardy.

And, in no particular order, here are some dialogue teasers!

Monkeys are coming for me.
The world will be forever changed.
If Mr Cole fails, we all fail.
The only failure is giving up.
There is no such thing as fate.
I’ve been drinking Whiskey Sours.
We have the right name but the wrong mans.
We shall meet again in the red forest.
Why did it have to be down there?

There you have it – some clues for the next episode? Are you excited for this latest episode? Don’t forget to read and comment on my review of episode two! Let me know your thoughts going in to tonight’s episode in the comments below.
