12 Monkeys - Bodies of Water - Advance Preview

12 Monkeys “Bodies of Water” was written by Kristen Reidel and directed by Mairzee Almas, whose other credits include iZombie, The 100, Lost Girl, and Defiance. Reidel’s other credits include The Blacklist and Nikita – though this may not be the same Reidel. This is another terrific episode, and I actually found myself thinking halfway through about just how much I really, really like this show! Kirk Acevedo (Ramse) is once again terrific – but then, I’m a sucker for a smart mouth. Todd Stashwick also delivers a terrific and powerful performance – I love what he’s doing with Deacon, and I love the chemistry between him and Acevedo and Aaron Stanford (Cole).

The action takes place in 2016 and 2044 with a girl team up in the “present.” I would be remiss in not mentioning what terrific performances Amanda Schull (Cassie) and Emily Hampshire (Jennifer) deliver – I’m starting to really love these two together! And a shout out for the relationship between Eckland (Michael Hogan) and Jones (Barbara Sukowa). I want to see a lot more of them together. No doubt, it’s Eckland’s smart mouth that is an attraction for both Jones and I!

Look for three people to take a trip to the Red Forest. Cassie is going to gain a new importance. Once again, Cassie and Ramse will find themselves on the same side against Cole. Deacon continues to remain unpredictable. A character will return in a very surprising way.

Cassie gets a mission while Cole and Ramse try to improve relations at the bunker. Cassie and Jennifer find some common ground in their past, and I think people will be happy to see a small return of the Cassie from season one. Jennifer will make an important discovery and learn an important date. Look for a picture of Jones where you won’t expect to see it. Deacon ends up having a very surprising outlook – and Cole gives him a present.

Here are some dialogue teases. As usual, no particular order and no hints as to who says them! Can you guess? Deacon has my favorite line in the entire episode!

Imagine my great disappointment in you.
Well. Aren’t you full of surprises.
You’re still a homicidal asshole.
She’s always there.
Hey look. It’s time-Jesus.
Chicken – egg – omelet.
You like structure. I like structure.
This is not what you foretold.
That’s some weapons grade irony right there.
I get to say goodbye to you.
The witness has spoken.
You never call. You never write.
Very little in my life consists of what I want.
Change was not supposed to be possible.
Me. I’m the monster.
Change was not supposed to be possible.
This is what happens when you play God and you don’t know your lines.

This is another terrific episode that you won’t want to miss, so remember to tune in tonight – Syfy at 9/8C!
