DC Reviews Wynonna EarpWynonna Earp 102 Preview
After last week’s kick start into purgatory this week we get a little more background on a few things. I don’t want to give too much away in this preview as I want you to enjoy the ride but it certainly makes you want to keep the darkness at bay. Once again the witty dialogue and tongue in cheek moments make another entertaining episode. I certainly see it filling the gap left by lost girl for the Syfy channel.
In the second episode, Wynonna comes in guns blazing as those demon’s/revenant’s seem to be having too much fun at a local night spot. Going in without her trusty peacemaker they get away but after witnessing her shooting skills with it last week we can understand Agent Dolls caution. He does give her a standard issue gun which she seems to handle better.
We learn a little more about the Black Badge unit which now has deputised Wynonna. Seems they try to contain any demon problems under the radar or the consequences could mean Purgatory is erased from the map.
Wynonna just wants a bit of peace but seems the demons can’t let her have a meal without barging in and a shot between the eyes sends him to hell. (The only way to do so it would seem).
There is also a new deputy in town played by Katherine Barrell, who takes a very keen interest in Waverly. I think Deputy Hot I mean Haught wants more than just coffee.
However, Agent Dolls isn’t as impressed and tell’s her off for barging into their new office they have set up in the sheriff department.
All the demons seem to be under the control of one , who has a surprising tie to the Earp’s. He also isn’t happy with a guest on his compound who we learn is none other than Doc Holiday, weren’t he and Wyatt Friends? There is a story there I am sure will unfold also why he isn’t a demon.
The head demon has a task for Doc to summon forth a scarier demon that literally takes the light out a room and anywhere else for that matter. Unfortunately, Doc gives him something of Waverly’s making her the target instead of Wynonna.
Soon there is another showdown at the homestead and some sisterly bonding. Wynonna is just as badass in her pyjamas as her leather jacket and her sister is someone not to be messed with either.
Waverly knows all there is about the past Earp’s and the revenants but interestingly she fails to recognise Doc Holiday. Her sunny attitude and terrible taste in men may have Wynonna saving her hide more than once.
Last week we learned never to leave a bus no matter how bad the toilets, this week’s lesson is imaginary friends may not be imaginary!
