Toronto ComiCon 2016 - Video Highlights and Thoughts

Two weeks ago, I had the honour of attending Toronto ComiCon for SpoilerTV. Toronto ComiCon is a convention that runs for three days in Downtown Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. A sister show to the much-larger Fan Expo Canada, this year’s featured big name guests including Tovah Feldshuh (The Walking Dead), Robbie Amell (The Flash, The X-Files), Toronto-based YouTube personalities like Sean Ward, ALB and Karli Woods and a ton of comic guests.

Over the 3 days, more than 25,000 fans flocked to the Toronto Metro Convention Centre to show off their elaborate costumes, attend panels, meet celebrities and buy collectibles. It was honestly a huge privilege to attend Tovah Fledshuh’s panel. Being an avid The Walking Dead fan, Deanna Monroe was my favourite character and her death left me in tears (huge, ugly crocodile tears). I remember being a fan of her character when she was in Law & Order. In person, she’s super down-to-earth and adorably funny.

The YouTube panel (not shown due to uploading constraints) was super informational. It was awesome hearing how three of Toronto’s YouTube stars started out and to hear what inspired them. The trio also offered advice to aspiring YouTubers in the audience.

Myself and my videographers had a great time interviewing fans, attending panels and browsing the booths of 400+ exhibitors.
