Review:
This episode was fantastic. This may be one of the best episodes of the season. The episode begins with Sheldon using his simulator to access nature. Since it's implicated that Amy (and possibly even Leonard & Penny) that he is obsessed with nature, she suggests they rent a cabin. I love how Amy made the suggestion to allow Sheldon to try out new things and break out of his shell. They all go the cabin for the weekend. During this time, they play a drinking game, "Never Have I Ever". Shamy are having a wonderful night with it, but it comes with consequences with Leonard and Penny as she gets mad at him for having an emergency account behind her back. She later forgives him for it and reveals that she admits she doesn't like her job. He advises her that she should have a career that makes her happy even if it means waitress, but she refuses to go back to her old job. The drinking game was the best part of the story line especially Sheldon breaking out of his shell. It entertains me when Sheldon gets drunk especially when he finally defended Amy when Wil Wheaton made mean comments towards her back in "The Habitation Configuration" (Season 6, Episode 7).
Although the cabin plot was fun, the subplot with Raj and Bernadette/Howard were even better. I love how Raj looks out for his best friend, Howard and Bernadette. However, I understood why he stood up for himself and got frustrated towards him for overstepping his boundaries. I seriously thought Raj was going to cry, but he actually took it well. Raj has always been underused especially this season. For once, the writers gave him a great storyline about boundaries. If Bernadette hadn't asked him to apologize to Raj, I'm sure he would have cried and took it hard. Overall, a fantastic episode in the books and if the rest of the season is anything like this episode and the Star Wars-themed episode, this will be better than season 8.
