    Ratings Breakdown:
CBS topped this third Sunday in April in the household overnights, besting No. 2 NBC by 46 percent. But the race in adults 18-49 will be a much closer call between the two.

Granddaddy “60 Minutes” opened the evening for CBS with a 7.7 rating/14 share in households at 7 p.m., leading into a compatible 7.0/12 for also older-skewing “Madam Secretary” at 8 p.m. Although “Madam Secretary” bested competing “Little Big Shots” on NBC (#2: 6.4/11) by nine percent in the overnights, the Steve Harvey-hosted hour is a lock for dominance in all the young adult demographics.

Next on CBS was “The Good Wife” (#1: 6.1/10 at 9 p.m.), which officially concludes on May 16, followed by recently renewed “Elementary” at a second-place 2.7/ 6 at 10 p.m.

“Little Big Shots” on NBC led into two episodes of recently introduced sitcom “Crowded” (9 p.m.: #2: 3.4/ 5; 9:30 p.m.: #2: 2.6/ 4), which performed similarly to regularly scheduled “The Carmichael Show” in the 9 p.m. half-hour. Next was a Sunday 10 p.m. edition of “Dateline” at a first-place 3.7/ 7. Earlier in the evening on NBC was an encore telecast of “Little Big Shots” at a second-place 3.2/ 6 at 7 p.m.

Elsewhere, the overnight results were minimal. A repeat of veteran “America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC (#3: 2.7/ 5 at 7 p.m.) led into a mere 2.5/ 4 (#3) for tired “Once Upon a Time” at 8 p.m. Comparably, “Once Upon a Time” slipped by 22 percent from the 3.2/ 5 in the overnights on the year-ago evening. And that led into a series-low 2.2/ 4 for failing recent drama entry “The Family” at 9 p.m. (#3), followed by overrated “Quantico” at a 2.6/ 5 (#3) at 10 p.m. ABC should consider moving “Quantico” into the 10 p.m. hour on a weeknight next season,.

Fox, meanwhile, needs to cut ties with recent comedy entries “Bordertown” (#4: 0.8/ 2) and “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” (#4: 0.6/ 1), which aired from 7-8 p.m. And they led into a repeat of “The Simpsons” (1.3/ 2 at 8 p.m.), and original installments of “”Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 1.3/ 2), “Family Guy” (#4: 1.8/ 3) and “The Last Man on Earth” (#4: 1.6/ 2) from 8:30-10 p.m., which each finished fourth in their time periods.
