Percent Change from the Year-Ago Evening:
    CW: +50, Fox: +44, NBC: + 3, CBS: – 7, ABC: -20

    Ratings Breakdown:
ABC topped this final March Monday in the household overnights, besting No. 3 NBC by three-tenths of a rating point (or five percent). But the home of “The Voice” is a lock for dominance in adults 18-49 (and all the key young adult demographics).

ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” topped the night in the overnights with an 8.4 rating/13 share from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that was 14 percent above competing “The Voice” on NBC (7.4/12), but 12 percent below the 9.6/15 on the year-ago evening. Last week, “Dancing With the Stars” opened this edition with an 8.8/14 in the household overnights, and that translated into 12.46 million viewers and a 1.8 rating/6 share in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data.

“Dancing With the Stars” led into a third-place 3.0/ 5 for a repeat of the encore telecast of Shonda Rhimes drama “The Catch” at 10 p.m., which trailed competing “NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS (#1: 5.6/10) and “Blindspot” on NBC (#2: 4.1/ 7) by 46 percent and 27 percent, respectively.

Earlier in the evening on CBS was the Supergirl/Flash crossover on CBS’ “Supergirl” at a third-place 4.7/ 8 from 8-9 p.m., which was 21 percent above the 3.9/ 6 one week earlier. At this point, there is every reason to believe “Supergirl” will be renewed for a second season.

Next on the Eye net was sophomore “Scorpion” at a 5.7/ 9 from 9-10 p.m. (#3), which built by 21 percent from “Supergirl.”

Elsewhere, “Gotham” on Fox, which was recently renewed for a third season, scored a 2.7/ 4 at 8 p.m. (#4), which was equal to one week earlier. And it led into a 2.5/ 4 for recently introduced drama “Lucifer” (#4), which is perfectly compatible (albeit also low-rated).

Last, and very least, was The CW’s perennially low-rated combination of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (#5: 0.6/ 1) and sophomore “Jane the Virgin” (#5: 0.7/ 1).
