  • Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings

  • Early HH Ratings from Marc Berman (programminginsider)
The analysis below is based on the early household numbers and are NOT the same as the numbers that will be posted in the above table later. (See the About section below)

NOTE: The opinions expressed here are NOT those of SpoilerTV but of the Author of this Article, Marc Berman.

    Household Rating/Share
    CBS: 6.7 rating/11 share, NBC: 6.2/10, ABC: 2.1/ 3, Fox: 1.4/ 2, CW: 0.6/ 1

Percent Change from the Year-Ago Evening:
    CBS: +31, NBC: + 9, ABC: -12, Fox: -30, CW: -71

    Ratings Breakdown:
CBS led the Tuesday household overnights, besting second-place NBC by eight percent. But NBC is poised for adult 18-49 victory in each of the six half-hours care of “The Voice” and the two episode premiere of sitcom “Crowded.”

“The Voice” averaged a 7.3 rating/12 share in households from 8-10 p.m., which finished first in the 9 p.m. hour ahead of competing “NCIS: New Orleans” on CBS (7.1/11). And it led into a 4.5/ 7 in the first episode of “Crowded” in the 10 p.m. half-hour, followed by the second installment at a 3.5/ 6 at 10:30 p.m. Both episodes led the time period in the household overnights, and the retention for episode one of “Crowded” out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of “The Voice” (7.6/12) was 59 percent. In other words, consider this respectable sampling for “Crowded,” which will move into its regularly scheduled Sunday 9:30 p.m. time period (out of “The Carmichael Show”) this weekend. “Thumbs up” to this latest sitcom created by Suzanne Martin (“Hot in Cleveland,” “The Soul Man”).

In week two news, ABC drama “Of Kings and Prophets” dipped to a 1.7/ 3 in the overnights at 10 p.m., which was 26 percent below its anemic opening last week (2.3/ 4 on March 8). And that 2.3 household overnight rating translated into a mere 3.33 million viewers and a 0.8 rating/3 share in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data. Tick, tock…the cancellation clock is ticking.

Earlier in the evening on ABC was introduced sitcom “The Real O’Neals” at a 2.5/ 4 at 8:30 p.m. (#3), which held 86 percent of its “Fresh Off the Boat” lead-in (2.9/ 5 at 8 p.m.) and remains an improvement over recent time period occupant “The Muppets.” And that led into a modest 2.1/ 3 for “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” at 9 p.m., which was one of the recent series renewed by ABC for next season. Benchwarmer “Marvel’s Agent Carter” is unlikely to return, however.

Over at CBS, the 300th episode of “NCIS” topped the night, as always, with a 9.3/15 in the household overnights from 8-9 p.m. For more on “NCIS,” click here. And freshman drama “Limitless” finished second at 10 p.m. with a 3.7/ 6, which was 47 percent below the 9:30 p.m. portion of lead-in“NCIS: New Orleans” (7.0/11).

Elsewhere, Fox could not complete with its sitcom line-up of “New Girl” (#4: 1.8. 3), a repeat of “Grandfathered” (#4: 1.1/ 2), “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (#4: 1.5/ 2) and “The Grinder” (#4: 1.2/ 2). And The CW populated the night with encore telecasts of “The Flash” (#5: 0.8/ 1) and “iZombie” (#5: 0.5/ 1).
