It’s been more than three long months since we last watched Deacon Claybourne propose to Rayna Jaymes on “Nashville,” but the show is finally returning from its extended break – and it’s coming back with a bang! “Forever and for Always” will give fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for: Deacon and Rayna are tying the knot. Yes, this wedding is really happening. And we get a front row seat to the country crooners’ big shindig.

Of course, don’t expect the wedding to go off without a hitch. That would simply be too drama-free for television. You can anticipate some bumps along the way. But how Deacon and Rayna deal with those complications demonstrates just how far they’ve come. So settle in and get ready to hear their vows and celebrate their love. This episode is all about the wedding.

Here’s what we can tell you about “Forever and for Always:”

1) We’ll hear three musical performances: Maddie and Daphne perform at the rehearsal dinner, Scarlett and Gunnar sing at the wedding ceremony, and Deacon breaks out his guitar for his wife.

2) Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus is a wedding guest; he has a conversation with Gunnar and Avery before heading in to the celebration.

3) Maddie, Daphne and Aunt Tandy are all having their own issues with the wedding. Deacon and Rayna have to navigate everyone’s feelings while making sure their big day remains special.

4) Deacon has some struggles of his own to deal with as he counts down to the big moment.

5) The paparazzi are trying to do everything they can to track the couple’s wedding. This creates some unforeseen problems.

6) Rayna and Deacon are first scheduled to be married at a beautiful setting with special meaning to Rayna and her family, but a leak about wedding info forces them to change their plans.

7) The episode takes place less than a month after the events of the winter finale. Rayna and Deacon planned this wedding fast!

8) At the wedding, Avery has a really hard time explaining to everyone where Juliette is. The lies are eating him up – and he may just crack!

9) Gunnar and Scarlett keep each other company at the wedding. In fact, Gunnar thinks it’s his job to help Scarlett meet a date!

10) Things aren’t going too well for Will professionally. He’s in a tough place after turning down singer Wade Cole’s advances.

11) Colt is tired of keeping the circumstances of Jeff’s death a secret – so who knows what he’ll do when he sees Layla Grant at the wedding.

12) Young blonde singer/songwriter Cash Gray actually helps Maddie deal with some of her wedding struggles. The two share some things in common. (In case you missed it, Cash’s father is Deacon’s AA sponsor, Frankie.)

13) When questioned, Rayna defends her man strongly, saying wonderful things about him.

14) Rayna demonstrated her great mothering skills in this episode, always considering her children’s feelings and fears about the new union. (Deacon is proving to be a great father, too!)

15) Deacon and Rayna’s vows are a highlight of the episode. (The title of the episode comes from the vows.)

Don’t miss “Forever and for Always,” the wedding episode of “Nashville,” airing this Wednesday, March 16 at 10/9c on ABC.
