04:35 - Black Mirror - Bryce Dallas Howard and Alice Eve to Star
EXCLUSIVE: Joe Wright is set to direct an episode of Netflix’s keenly anticipated new season of Charlie Brooker’s anthology series Black Mirror with Bryce Dallas Howard and Alice Eve on board to star. Created and written by Brooker, Black Mirror taps into our collective unease with the modern world and each stand-alone episode is a suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. The series, which premiered on Channel 4 in 2011 and aired for two seasons, has received an international Emmy Award, a Peabody Award, a Rose D’Or and been nominated for a BAFTA.
It marks an interesting creative choice for Wright after the big-budget Pan for Warner Bros. The director, who first emerged as one of the UK’s most exciting young directors with the likes of Pride And Prejudice and Atonement, should revel in the dark humor that permeates throughout the Black Mirror universe.
It was announced last year that Netflix would be ordering 12 new episodes of the acclaimed series from Brooker’s House of Tomorrow. Brooker and Annabel Jones, who exec produced the first seven episodes of the series, will continue to serve in that capacity as well as be showrunners for the new shows, which Brooker has written. House of Tomorrow is a part of the Endemol Shine Group.

20:10 - MOVIES: Battlestar Galatica - Movie in Development With Producers Michael De Luca & Scott Stuber
Battlestar Galatica is getting another shot at the big-screen.
Powerhouse producers Michael De Luca is teaming up with Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark of Bluegrass Films to produce the movie for Universal, which is hoping to launch a massive event franchise.
Galactica was the short-lived but impactful television series created by Glen A. Larson in the post-Star Wars halo that aired on ABC from 1978 to 1979.
The show was revived and re-imagined for the post-9-11 world in 2004 as a thought-provoking, politically-charged series that ran to great acclaim on Syfy from 2004 to 2009.
As the show was winding down, Universal began developing the property as a movie, enlisting Bryan Singer to direct it and several screenwriters coming and going. Singer hasn’t been involved with the project since at least 2014.
No writers are on board at this early stage of the project.
The hook of the show concerned human civilization on distant planets being almost wiped out by intelligent machines known as Cylons. The survivors flee on starships, and led by the Galactica and her heroic crew, try to find a mythic human colony called Earth.

20:10 - Lawrence In Arabia - Period Drama in Development at HBO
Former Sons Of Anarchy executive producers Art Linson and John Linson are developing Lawrence In Arabia, an HBO period drama series set in the Middle East. The project is based on Scott Anderson’s bestselling book Lawrence In Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly And The Making Of The Modern Middle East, published in 2014.
Written by Oscar-nominated Anthony McCarten (The Theory Of Everything), the drama is described as chronicling the adventure of T.E. Lawrence, David Hogarth, William Yale, and Rudolph McGovern as they dangerously navigate the burgeoning Arab Revolt in the Middle East in the years leading up to World War I. McCarten, Art and John Linson executive produce, while Anderson serves as consultant.
Lawrence In Arabia falls under the Linsons’ first-look deal with HBO. Under the pact, the father-and-son duo also have developed Yellowstone, a drama about a ranching family’s struggle against encroachment in southwest Montana, and Vietnam War drama The Long Gray Line, based on Pulitzer Price-winner Rick Atkinson’s bestselling book.

17:10 - Dead of Summer - Elizabeth Mitchell & Elizabeth Lail join cast
ELIZABETH MITCHELL AND ELIZABETH LAIL JOIN THE GROWING LIST OF CAMP COUNSELORS IN FREEFORM’S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ORIGINAL SERIES “DEAD OF SUMMER”
Freeform continues to pull up seats to the campfire with the additions of Elizabeth Mitchell (“Lost,” ”The Purge: Election Year”) and Elizabeth Lail (“Once Upon a Time”) to its new original series “Dead of Summer.” Mitchell joins already announced cast members Zelda Williams (“Teen Wolf”), Mark Indelicato (“Ugly Betty”), Alberto Frezza (“Charlie’s Angels”), Eli Goree (“The 100”), Ronen Rubinstein (“Orange Is the New Black”) and Paulina Singer (“Gotham”).
Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Clearwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills. Clearwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn. Part coming-of-age story, part supernatural horror story, "Dead of Summer" is a bold, new series that mixes genres as it examines the light and dark of a summer like no other. Production on the series will begin in March.
Mitchell will be playing “Deb,” the new owner of Camp Clearwater. Once a camper herself, Deb has her heart set on bringing back the magic of the summer camp she loved. She exudes authority while simultaneously presenting a warm and welcoming vibe. Behind closed doors however, Deb seems to value her control over the camp for a much darker reason.
Lail will be portraying “Amy,” a clever but nervous camp counselor who is new to Camp Clearwater. Amy is not unfamiliar with being the new girl in social situations and the pitfalls that come with it, so she tries hard to fit in with the already bonded counselors. As the others reminisce about their past summers at camp, Amy is the first to discover clues that something disturbing is going on at Camp Clearwater.
“Dead of Summer” will be produced by ABC Signature Studios and Kitsis/Horowitz. Adam Horowitz, Edward Kitsis (“Lost,” “Once Upon a Time”) and Ian Goldberg (“Once Upon a Time,” “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior”) will write and executive-produce the series. Horowitz and Kitsis will direct the first episode.
