Zach’s Vampire Diaries daughter is getting caught up in Switched at Birth‘s family drama.
Tristin Mays — who played the late Salvatore’s offspring, Sarah Nelson, on TVD — will recur on Season 5 of the Freeform drama as college student Ally, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Ally makes her debut in Episode 6 and has unexpected ties to the Kennish/Vasquez clan.
The actress joins Season 5 additions Valery Ortiz (Hit the Floor) as a renowned tattoo artist and Michael Galante (Jane the Virgin, NCIS) as a UMKC college student who bonds with Regina.

02:40 - Feed The Beast - Erin Cummings to Recur
Erin Cummings (Madoff) has signed on for a recurring role opposite David Schwimmer and Jim Sturgess on AMC’s drama series Feed The Beast. The 10-episode straight-to-series drama is about two best friends, Tommy Moran (Schwimmer), and Dion Patras (Sturgess), who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant. They push each other, welcome love into their lives and overcome their demons. They also betray, backstab, manipulate and coerce each other into the most dangerous situations imaginable.
Cummings will play Marisa Bruno, a whip-smart defense attorney to Patras (Sturgess). Cummings recently co-starred in NBC’s miniseries Madoff with Richard Dreyfuss and Blythe Danner, and in ABC’s summer series Astronaut Wives Club. She’s repped by Untitled Entertainment and Paradigm.

EXCLUSIVE: Emerson Brooks has landed a 3-episode recurring role on TNT’s post apocalyptic naval drama The Last Ship in the show’s upcoming third season. He’ll be playing “Captain Weylan,” the highly respected and by-the-book Captain of a US Navy Ship that comes into conflict with Commander Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and his team. Season three of The Last Ship is set to air this summer. Brooks recently guested on CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles, and his previous credits include roles in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Super 8, FX’s The Comedians, and Terminator Salvation. He’s repped by Aaron Kogan at Artists International Management and Steven Neibert at imperium 7.

Angela returns and wants to see Emma, but Ben is hesitant, on an all-new episode of “Baby Daddy,” airing WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16 (8:30-9:00 p.m. EDT)on Freeform, the new name for ABC Family.
Now starring on a hit television series, Emma’s mom, Angela, unexpectedly returns and wants to see Emma. Ben is reluctant to comply, but when Angela claims she can help get Emma into a good preschool, Ben relents and asks Riley to keep an eye on them. Bonnie is temporarily managing the bar and takes the opportunity to try out some new ideas. And Tucker is living in fear, since he’s convinced that Mary Hart is now out to get him. Jess Cagle, editorial director of People and Entertainment Weekly, makes a special appearance as himself.
“Baby Daddy” stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler, Tahj Mowry, with Melissa Peterman and Chelsea Kane. The series is created and executive produced by Dan Berendsen (“The Nine Lives of Chloe King,” “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” and “Hannah Montana: The Movie”). “Baby Daddy” is a multi-camera comedy that shoots in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles.

21:50 - Star Trek - Nicholas Meyer Joins the Writing Staff of New CBS Series

It’s official. Bryan Fuller, who will co-create, produce and serve as showrunner of the upcoming Star Trek series, has just announced the news that Nicholas Meyer has joined the show's writing staff and will be a consulting producer.
"Nicholas Meyer chased Kirk and Khan 'round the Mutara Nebula and 'round Genesis' flames, he saved the whales with the Enterprise and its crew, and waged war and peace between Klingons and the Federation. We are thrilled to announce that one of Star Trek's greatest storytellers will be boldly returning as Nicholas Meyer beams aboard the new Trek writing staff," said Executive Producer, Bryan Fuller.
Meyer, of course, is beloved by Star Trek fans worldwide for directing (and co-written, uncredited) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, co-writing Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and co-writing and directing Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
The new Star Trek series, produced by CBS Television Studios, will launch in early 2017. In the U.S., a special premiere episode will air on the CBS Television Network and all subsequent first-run episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access. The series will also be available on television stations and platforms in other countries around the world.

Actor-producer-rapper Alvin “Xzibit” Joiner is set to guest star on Fox’s flagship drama series Empire.
Xzibit will play Leslie “Shyne” Johnson, who is 100% wolf and 100% gangster. He has managed artists, started record imprints and even sold a few units here and there, but his bread and butter always has been — much to his years-long frustration — drugs, guns and extortion. Feeling shut out by the other heavy hitters in the music industry, he carries a big chip on his shoulder, especially for Lucious (Terrence Howard). The exact number of episodes is TBD.

An innocent flirtation has someone feeling guilty, and possibly guilty of a crime, on an all-new episode of “Young & Hungry,” airing on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16 (8:00–8:30 p.m. EDT) on Freeform, the new name for ABC Family.
In "Young & Rob’d," the girls meet a mystery man under questionable circumstances. While they decide whether or not he’s datable, he steals someone’s heart, and maybe a few other things. Meanwhile, Josh channels his energy into something positive, leaving Elliot to think what Josh doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
Launch to date, “Young & Hungry” is Freeform’s #1 comedy of all time in Becomers 12-34 and Women 18-34 and wins its cable time period across the key target demographics. The series and cast have been nominated for five Teen Choice Awards since its premiere in the summer of 2014.
“Young & Hungry” is produced by David Holden, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades, Caryn Lucas, and Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum in association with CBS Television Studios. Christopher Meyer (NCIS: New Orleans) has joined the second season cast of Fox’s psychological thriller Wayward Pines. Season 2 will pick up in the wake of Season 1, when a new arrival in Wayward Pines finds himself in the middle of a serious rebellion, as the residents battle over how to preserve the endangered human race.
Meyer will play Mario, described as bulked up and self-important, he is one of Kerry Campbell’s soldiers, wearing a uniform and carrying weapons. Meyer can next be seen in Wolves opposite Carla Gugino and Michael Shannon, and Kicks opposite Mahershala Ali. He also recurs on NCIS: New Orleans. He’s repped by Pantheon Talent, LINK Entertainment, and attorney Chris Abramson.

Emmy winner Kathy Baker (Picket Fences) has signed on for a recurring role on Netflix sibling comedy series The Ranch, starring Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson. Written by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, The Ranch is set on a Colorado ranch, with Kutcher’s character returning home after a brief semi-pro football career to run the family business with his brother, played by Masterson.
Baker will play a local waitress who befriends Beau (Sam Elliott). Baker also recently recurred on USA series Colony and previously co-starred on Comedy Central’s Big Time In Hollywood, Fl. She’s repped by Paradigm and Berwick & Kovacik.
