The first episode of the BBC’s star-studded adaptation of John Le Carré’s spy thriller The Night Manager drew an audience of more than 6 million viewers.
The £20m BBC1 drama, which stars Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman, drew 6.14 million viewers, a 26% share of all TV viewing between 9pm and 10pm on Sunday night.
It comfortably won its slot, beating closest rival ITV’s Vera, which pulled in 5.1 million and a 21.1% share between 8pm and 10pm.
