I don't know who was worse Bobby D'Amico or Dodds Sr. It seem like from the moment Kristi, the victim, said Panko raped her, Dodds Sr. was convinced that Kristi was lying about the rape. Although it didn't help that she was a blogger and Kristi would record every moment of her life, including the night of the rape.
It all started with Kristi recording herself in the ER having a rape kit done on herself and making a statement to Rollins and Carisi. That's when she said that she was raped in a nightclub restroom. When the detectives got back to the station they found Kristi's blog with the video footage from that night. They found out Kristi was partying with Bobby D'Amico, although at the time she didn't accused Bobby of rape she only accuse his bar manager Noel Panko of rape. When Dodds Jr. talked to Bobby on the set of his new NetFlix show he claimed that the sex was consensual and that Kristi was into some freaky stuff. He said that he and Noel bought Kristi drinks, danced, made out, then headed off to the bathroom to do some freaky stuff. Then Noel Panko came into the restroom and she took care of him as well. Bobby said it definitely wasn't her first three way. When Kristi told the detectives that she was raped, she left out the fact that she had consensual sex with Bobby. But that shouldn't matter, if Panko raped her, Panko raped her, end of story!
When Benson and Dodds Jr. had a little talk with Panko his story matched up with Bobby's. Still with doubt in her mind she asked for the security camera footage from that night. When they showed the footage to Kristi she said, the reason she didn't tell them that she had sex with Bobby that night was because she didn't want them to think she was a slut. Then Kristi told Rollins the true story, she went into the restroom with Bobby, Panko walked-in like he know that they were in the restroom. Bobby asked if Panko could join them. Kristi said no, then Bobby said look at those puppy eyes... When Bobby left, Kristi splashed water on her face, Panko pushed her under the sink and raped her from behind.
Everyone believed Kristi except for Dodds Sr. He said that there wasn't enough evidence to bring to trial, not to mention she changed her story. So Benson had to have the talk with a rape victim, that she never wanted to have. But later that day Kristi posted a video on her blog that said that she was raped by Bobby D'Amico and Noel Panko. And the Special Victims Unit wouldn't press changes because to them, she wasn't a special victim as much as Bobby and Panko. At that point the detectives and Barba had no choice but to look further into the case. They brought Kristi back into the station and told her to take down the video, but Kristi showed them a post of another victim. When Rollins and Carisi talked to the other victim her story matched up with Kristi's. When Rollins asked her to go to the DA to tell her story, she said no way, because she works on Bobby's new Netflix show. Which was unfortunate for Kristi because there still wasn't enough evidence to prove rape. That made Rollins very upset, so she decided to go undercover, without notifying the department. Everything played out perfectly. Bobby and Panko tried to do to the same thing to Rollins that they did to Kristi and the other victim. But of course Rollins was able to defend herself. Although when Rollins walked out of the restroom she ran into Dodds Jr, and told Rollins that Bobby lawyered up earlier that day so they can't charge them for attacking Rollins.
When Benson found out that Rollins went undercover without telling anyone she was very upset. On top of everything Barba said any Judge would throw the video footage of Bobby and Panko trying to rape Rollins out of court. Barba decided to bring Kristi back to the station, Barba told Kristi that this case is risky, mainly because she changed her story. But Kristi said she wants to look them in the eye when she tells the jury what they did to her that night.
This case was a wild card from the start. The jury could only see the bad in Kristi, they only saw they party girl, the blogger. But they didn't see the rape victim and they sure is hell didn't see the two rapist. They only saw the actor and his best friend, with the puppy eyes.
