Grimm - Map of the Seven Knights - Review

Feb 23, 2016

While we're closer to the 100th episode, in this Grimm's episode, Map of the Seven Knights, Monroe gets a call from a relative in Germany that will bring Nick closer to his ancestors. Things get complicated when the nefarious group Black Claw is also after the same artifacts. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard helps a mayoral candidate get an edge on his opponent. Meanwhile, Trubel confronts Eve about Nick and Adalind.

Buffy vs Grimm. Season 5 of both shows are so familiar. In Whedon's show, Buffy learns something about the first slayer while she was looking for a way to defeat her enemy (remember Glory?) and save the world (again). This year, Nick is going to meet Monroe's uncle, Felix, and learns more about his ancestors and family. And maybe a new Grimm's book, since Juliette set fire to his trailer last season. Too bad Felix tells Nick he wants 100 thousand dollars for the full set of books (20!) and he needs them in 24 hours. Thank God Trubel has an idea: Hadrian's Wall may know what they're looking for.

If you can call this "normal"... Monroe and Nick have this funny little chat out of the house about Adalind and Eve, and how the Grimm feels about them. Both are two different people: Adalind fits pefectly as a good mother, while Eve is not Juliette anymore and she's a completly strange to him. It must be hard for Nick! I've always though about Nick and Adalind as Buffy and Spike, you know. First they hate each other, they're enemies. Then they get closer and start to have feelings. Anyway, Eve is creepy, I hope some of you will agree with me lol while Adalind is too good to be real so far. Are you expecting a Hexenbeist return somehow?

The Wesen of the Week basically involves those Grimm's books that Felix wants. Black Claw wants to destroy everything related to Grimm. And they want to start now. Nick, Hank and Wu are called at the crime scene where they find Monroe's uncle dead. Black Claw is moving too fast to get those books. Meanwhile, Monroe is obviously shocked. But her, Hell hath no fury like a Blutbad... mad. This is a great episode for this character who can show he's not just a lovely husband but also one strong man.
Anyway, the gand manages to find all the 20 books but there is more. Inside, hidden, there are a lor of weapons - yeah! and then, plot twist: 3 keys, which belong to the Seven Knights who were also ancestors of Grimms. Putting togethere the keyps, the Scooby gang finds out they're pieces of the same map. With the help of a fouth key, things start to get interesting: the terrain of the map leads to a place in Germany. So, we're going into the Black Forest!

Things are going to be interesting! What do you think? Share your comments below.
