Shameless - Ghost Your Baby - Advance Preview: "Emmy Rossum Shines"

NA Reviews ShamelessCarl continues to sell guns 'straight outta his school restroom' which results in him attracting unusual buyers.
Kevin feels really guilty about what happened to Yanis. Yanis on the other hand, is still as foul mouthed as always. Elsewhere, Veronica and Fiona have a really sweet and lovely moment when Fiona confides to her about her pregnancy.
An interesting new development for Ian is that he begins to wonder what he should do with the rest of his life now. Theres a camera shot during the episode, a self reflective one (literally), that reiterates this feeling of "what next", "what if". I feel that after everyone in his life has been constantly telling him what to do, how to act and so on, he’s now wondering if his life can be more than what it is. Especially after this episode.
Frank tries to support Debbie and her pregnancy as a way to get extra money from the movement as the sneak peeks have indicated. His methods are truly maddening, thankfully Debbie is much more smarter, in regards to having a good perception of what it means to be a good mother.
A bit of much needed Lip and Ian bonding takes place during the episode. It was so wonderful to see these brothers have some much needed scenes together again. However everything is not what it seems and my heart broke for Ian. I can’t say much but Cameron Monaghan has a way to move people, as we all know, as does the director. The camera holds his face in the foreground of the shot (in front of other objects within the scene), allowing the emotion in his eyes to be more apparent and it's brilliant.
Emmy Rossum gives an absolute memorable performance during the episode. One scene in particular between Fiona and Debbie, is so well done. I thought Emma Kenney gave a really genuine and honest performance and Emmy Rossum’s reaction was loving at first, and then brutally truthful. I thought it was very eye opening in regards to teen pregnancies and quite well written. Emmy's ability to breathe life into the words scribed for her is magnificent, the sheer realness and raw emotion in her eyes can paint such a picture. Last weeks intimate scene between her and Sean was truly profound and Emmy is the reason why it was so. She's one of the most expressive actors I’ve seen. Subsequently, Fiona's scene with Sean following this, further showcases how wonderfully talented Emmy is. She truly deserves all the awards and we all know how incredible she was during Season 4, her finest hours (how I wish she won something for that season).
There's this final scene with Ian that hints at something romantic, the way the scene was shot and the way Ian was looking seemed highly suggestive to me, this might annoy some fans. Regardless, I’d like to know what you all thought of that scene and any other scene from the episode after it airs on Sunday on Showtime.
Dialogue Teasers:
“No, you look like a criminal.”
“If he left you like this, then he doesn’t deserve you.”
“You’re the one who sleeps around, not me.”
“You don’t know me.”
“No white girl, I don’t know you.”
“No, I’m a feminist, I believe you have that right.”
