  • Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings

  • Early HH Ratings from Marc Berman (programminginsider)
The analysis below is based on the early household numbers and are NOT the same as the numbers that will be posted in the above table later. (See the About section below)

NOTE: The opinions expressed here are NOT those of SpoilerTV but of the Author of this Article, Marc Berman.

    Rating/Share
    CBS: 4.8 rating/7 share, ABC: 4.2/ 7, NBC: 2.6/ 4, Fox: 1.6/ 2, CW: 0.9/ 1

Percent Change From the Year-Ago Evening:
CBS: + 7, CW: no change, ABC and Fox: -16 each, NBC: -33

    —–

    -Winners:
“The Big Bang Theory” R (NBC), “The Bachelor” (ABC)

    -Still Promising:
    “Superstore” (NBC)

    -Losers (excluding repeats):
    “The Biggest Loser” (NBC)

    —–

    Ratings Breakdown:
A night of all repeats on CBS — two episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” (#1: avg. 5.4 rating/8 share from 8-9 p.m.), “Scorpion” (#2: 4.6/ 7) and “NCIS: Los Angeles” (#1: 4/.6/ 7) – was enough for CBS to still reign supreme in the household overnights. But two hours of “The Bachelor” on ABC (5.0/ 7 from 8-10 p.m.: down seven percent from one week earlier) should be more than enough to ABC to take the night in adults 18-49 (and all the key demos). Expect a low-rating in adults 18-49 for “The Bachelor.”

“Bachelor Live” at 10 p.m., which is scheduled in the hour for two more weeks, finished second with a 2.8/ 4.

On NBC, week two of comedies “Superstore” (#3: 3.6/ 6) and “Telenovela (#3: 2.6/ 4) in the 8 p.m. hour dropped by 10 percent and 16 percent, respectively, from one week earlier. One year earlier, “Celebrity Apprentice” scored a 4.5/ 7 in this time period. Anticipate in the vicinity of a 1.6 rating in adults 18-49 for “Superstore,” which is a very livable performance. “Telenovela” could be more like a 1.1 or a 1.2.

Out of the two NBC comedies was “The Biggest Loser,” which at a 2.3/ 4 from 9-11 p.m. is well below any prior season.

Elsewhere, Fox populated this second Monday in January with back-to-back repeats of “MasterChef Junior” at a 1.6/ 2 from 8-10 p.m. And The CW aired repeats of “Whose Line is it Anyway?” (#5: 0.9/ 1 from 8-9 p.m.) and “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (1.0/ 1).

  • About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.

The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).

Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.

Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).

Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.
