Jon Cryer has booked a return trip to NCIS for an upcoming February episode that will also feature Laura San Giacomo, EW has learned exclusively.
The Two and a Half Men alum, who has previously appeared in two season 13 episodes, will reprise his role as Cyril Taft, the doctor who saved Gibbs (Mark Harmon), for an episode titled “Loose Cannons.” Just Shoot Me alum San Giacomo will play Dr. Taft’s confidant and co-worker Dr. Grace Confalone.
In the outing, Taft continues his unorthodox counseling sessions with Gibbs, and is pulled into a burglary case where weapons and ammunitions were stolen from a Naval base. “This time Jon Cryer’s Doctor Taft gets to help Gibbs solve a case and he likes it!” executive producer Gary Glasberg says. “Apparently solving crimes can be fun. Having Jon involved this season has been a gift. His skills as an actor and comedian make him the perfect addition to our team.”
