CBS has given a pilot order to My Time/Your Time, a half-hour comedy from the creators of two previous CBS series, Bad Teacher ‘s Hilary Winston and How I Met Your Mother’s c Carter Bays and Craig Thomas.
This is CBS’ second comedy pilot order this season, joining the untitled Dan O’Shannon/Robyn Butler/Wayne Hope project, which was ordered earlier today. Both were sold and originally written as single-camera and later converted to a hybrid format, part of CBS’ move this year to turn several single-camera scripts into multi-camera or hybrid. (CBS also has the straight-to-series Kevin James multi-camera comedy.)
The hybrid format is familiar territory for Bays and Thomas as it was introduced by their long-running CBS sitcom HYMYM.
Winston wrote My Time/Your Time, based on the Web series 7P/10E. It chronicles the relationship of a young couple as they begin dating long distance.
