The episode begins with Cyrus still recovering from his surgery and his new maid Violet trying to nurse him back to health. I’m in agreement with Cyrus I don’t get why is she so interested him? I have feeling that maybe Lucius brought her in to make Cyrus feel more confident. It does seem to be working. As much as the guy tries he still cannot seem to get over his jealously for his brother, who by the way is dead. Cyrus wants the people to respect him as King, but how is he going to accomplish that when he destroys the monument dedicated to King Simon? I do have to say it broke my heart watching Cyrus break down in the car. He is a character I love to hate. I am used to him being a strong character that can take on anything, including cancer. I have a feeling that Cyrus is going to beat the cancer and be around for a long time. With that being said he might not be King if he keeps up his antics.
I am so here for this Liam and Jasper bromance. Liam really stepped up to the plate by defending his father’s honor. He convinced the guards to step back and let him reveal the monument. This also proved that he is worthy of his title and if it wasn’t for his awful mother he could have been a great King. Jasper also delivered on his promise of figuring out what the domino symbol means. He went to Ted for help and showed him the necklace. Once Jasper left Ted pulled out a card that has the exact same symbol on it. Oh and guess who’s he’s back to hallucinating? Yup his dead wife. Ted is definitely coming of the hinges this season. Being the smart secret service agent that he is, Ted finds an address on the back of the card. This leads him to a museum and in a flashback we see that Ted’s wife was murdered there, while he was trying to protect the King Simon. Right after this Ted is followed to his car by, a domino henchman. The domino henchmen points out that Ted is just as responsible for Simon’s death, as the murderer. He may not of literally killed him, but it was his job to protect Simon and he failed. Ted is in such a fragile state and if his flashback was any indication I feel that he may begin to work for the domino group.
Eleanor is newly single and bored. Her new bodyguard James suggests that she should give up on her vices, which are boys and drugs. He also says, “That you should have a friend to help you.” Scrolling through her phone Eleanor realizes she doesn’t have any real friends, until she sees Mandy’s name. Mandy who we met last week at the club opening, instantly replies to Eleanor’s text message. The two girls embark on a touristy day through London and end up back at the palace. Eleanor decides to give up her vice of boys. Look I’m all for Eleanor having fun, but it feels like all these people that she hookups with are just distractions from Jasper. I feel like he is the only one to truly understand Eleanor and accepts her. At this point I think that she does need a friend to be there and support her, but Mandy has another plan in mind. So yes Eleanor and Mandy end up hooking up. Before Eleanor can wake up, Mandy sneaks off to explore the palace. Yeah kind of a red flag if you ask me, why not just ask your girlfriend…the Princess to show you around? Come on we all knew Mandy no matter how awesome she is, would turn out to be sketchy. That’s not even the most shocking part. As Mandy creeps into the jewel room (wish I had one), eying the cursed diamond, Jasper storms in. He demands to know what she’s doing there. Oh the best part is her name isn’t even Mandy, it’s Samantha. Yes that SAMANTHA…Jasper's ex!!!! I was personally shocked, usually I see these plot twists coming miles away, but I didn’t figure out that Mandy/Samantha was somehow related to Jasper till she snuck out of Eleanor’s room. It seems that our favorite princess will have her heart broken once again. Hopefully Jasper can put a stop to faux Mandy before things get out of hand, but it wouldn’t be The Royals without a little chaos would it?
Side Notes:
-How funny was Liam’s friend when Jasper took off his shirt. I think we were all in agreement with him.
-Um awkward...Helena still thinks Alistair is alive and asking Lucius to deliver another letter. This time the letter is about her declaring her love for Alistair.
-Nice little bonding moment between the Queen and her children. Hopefully there will be more of these.
-It seems as though Cyrus is finally embracing the fact that Prudence is pregnant.
-Cyrus is going to make sure that his new son becomes the heir to the throne.
-Loved the argument between Helena and Cyrus it was about time.
-Kind over Cyrus’s daughters. I can’t be bothered to learn their names if that says anything.
What did you think of Liam’s speech? Can Violet be trusted? Do you think Ted will join the domino group? Were you shocked to find out that Mandy is actually Samantha? How do you think Eleanor will react? Do you feel bad for Cyrus? Comment Below!
