-Ratings Breakdown:
NBC inched past CBS on this third Sunday in December care of the Arizona Cardinals at the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football” at an estimated 11.5 rating/19 share in the household overnights from approximately 8:30-11:30 p.m. Earlier in the evening on NBC was pre-game “Football Night in America” at a 1.5/ 3 at 7 p.m. (#4), a 1.7/ 3 at 7:30 p.m. (#4) and a second-place 7.1/12 in the 8 p.m. half-hour. Results for any live sporting event, of course, are approximate.
CBS got an ample boost on the night via a primetime football overrun at a 16.5/29 in the 7 p.m. half-hour. Individual program results for the network are approximate due to football, and a 7:30-8:30 p.m. edition of granddaddy “60 Minutes” scored a dominant 13.1/22. Next was the season-premiere of inspirational “Undercover Boss” at a 6.6/10 from 8:30-9:30 p.m., followed by an encore telecast of “Madam Secretary” (4.4/ 7) and “CSI: Cyber” (4.3/ 8) from 9:30-11:30 p.m.
On Fox, annual “The Universe Pageant,” hosted by Steve Harvey, scored a 3.9/ 6 in the household overnights from 7-10 p.m., peaking at a 4.8/ 8 in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour (when Harvey embarrassingly announced the wrong winner). And ABC populated the evening with the umpteenth telecast of 1965 repeat theatrical “The Sound of Music” at a 3.2/ 5 from 7-11 p.m., which is normally a staple at Easter.

About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.
NOTE: We will open up the ratings post early so that people can chat/disqus whilst we wait for the HH, T25 Numbers and then the Early Overnight numbers as usual.
