Twin Peaks - Miguel Ferrer To Return + Show Won't Premiere Until 2017

“Twin Peaks” fans will have to wait just a little longer for the sequel that is brewing for Showtime.

The new limited-series iteration of the cult-fave ABC series from David Lynch and Mark Frost had been targeting a 2016 premiere, but CBS Corp. chief Leslie Moonves said Tuesday during CBS’ third-quarter earnings conference call that the limited series would premiere in 2017. He touted it as a property that will likely drive subscriptions of Showtime’s newly launched standalone broadband offering.

Another Twin Peaks fan favorite is heading back to David Lynch’s upcoming new installment of his groundbreaking 1990 mystery albert-rosenfield1series for Showtime. Noone is commenting but I have learned that Miguel Ferrer is set to reprise his role as FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield from the original series in the new season, set to debut in 2017.
