Hey walkers fans, this 6th season of our favorite show has definitely been the best yet, and there are only two episodes left this year. I still can’t believe how fast time has passed. The mid season finale is coming in a week, but this Sunday it’ll be time for "Heads Up", another captivating and intense episode, airing on AMC in the US and next Monday on FOX in the UK.
With "Heads Up", the action will be back to Alexandria, after the Wolves attack and Morgan’s freaking hidden wolf in a basement ! But mostly, and finally, Rick, Carl, Morgan, Michonne and Carol are all back in the same episode ! I've been missing with them interact with each other.
At first, I wasn’t a big fan of Alexandria, especially last season. It was so different, out of time, unreal. It was this bubble in which it felt like the walkers never showed up and changed everything on Earth. But since the Wolves attack the safe zone and the walkers are now surrounding the walls, everything has changed inside the community. They have been attacked for the first time and they lost some of their people. The threat and the danger has become a reality for them. And so now, they might understand Rick’s actions better.
And of course it’s an excellent news for the show. Now, the Alexandrians are more interesting characters and all their potential can be shown and exploited. I must say their characters introduction, for all of them, was perfectly done. It took some time to introduce them and install them on the show, but now they are a big part of it. And as they are slowing understanding why Rick and his group were so different and violent from them, they might find their place in that group, under rick's leadership.
With the walkers all around the safe zone, Rick and his group might need the Alexandrians’ help. Alexandria can’t be called a safe zone for the moment so Rick and his group will have to come up with a plan and a way to stay safe behind the walls. Of course, the question to involve the Alexandrians will be raised. We all remember what happened the last time they went to help carry on Rick’s plan. One character will be strongly against but things has changed in Alexandria since the attack.
And here are some teasers from "Heads Up" :
- Maggie will continue to look for a signal from Glenn in the sky.
- Father Gabriel will keep struggling finding his place in the community. He will have a new project, involving religion of course but a character will clearly show his disapproval.
- As seen in the sneak peek, Morgan will be interrogated by Rick and Michonne… And another character. Morgan will expose his new philosophy of life, “all life is precious” and of course it will cause surprises and disagreements. Can Morgan really stick to his philosophy without putting the lives of everyone else in danger ?
- There will be some surviving / how to kill a walker lessons. The Alexandrians really need them because they used to live in their sweet bubble, away from the walkers and the danger, but now the walkers are at the walls, the danger is near. They have to be prepared. so, there will be one gun lesson and a group machete lesson. I’m sure you’ll love that lesson and the teacher.
- Someone will visit Denise, the doctor, with a special request.
- Rosita will make a powerful speech about fear, death and life. She’s totally growing on me. And I’m starting to be a bit upset she doesn’t have more screentime this season. She definitely has some badass potential.
- A character will give another a lecture on life, It might not be the moment but it'll be needed.
- Lori will be mentioned in "Heads Up".
- Deanna will continue working on her new plans for the community she started after the attack. She’s really devoted to her community and she finally understands the threats they’re all facing.
- Finally, Carol and Sam will share a scene together. He’s still traumatized by the wolves attack in his house but Carol is his new mentor in the Z world so she might be able to help… Unless she has something more important to deal with.
- One of the Alexandrians will do something incredibly risky and so stupid.
- A character will give Rick the finger. Oh I loved that moment.
- There will be a very beautiful and hopeful moment… And we all know what comes next those moments in The Walking Dead.
"Heads Up" will be another exciting episode of The Walking Dead. Of course, as it sets right before the mid season finale , it will be a more calm episode, but it doesn’t mean there won’t be some intense and emotional moments.
The female characters of The Walking Dead will particularly shine in "Heads Up". There are a lot of female characters now on the show and all of them are excellent and interesting characters (such a change since the first seasons with Lori as the main female character). Tara, Deanna, Maggie, Denise, Rosita, Michonne and Carol, all of them, add something unique and special to the show. In "Heads Up", they all will have their moments.
