Review
After he got his heartbroken by Amy last week, he decides to team up with Raj and Howard to advertise himself online via Craigslist to get a new girlfriend. They count time to see which mystery girl comes in and it turns out that female's name is Vanessa (played by Analeigh Tipton). He later turns her down because she was not only late, but she also found atomic spectroscopy boring. This makes Howard and Raj mad after all the hard work they did for him. Although this storyline was a little off for me at times, I don't think Sheldon and Vanessa would have lasted long after she insulted a topic he liked. Then again, maybe he can adapt to flexibility and realize that she is compatible for him. Still, it was great to see Analeigh Tipton from America's Next Top Model make a cameo.
Meanwhile, Amy has a date with Dave (played by Stephen Merchant), the guy we saw last week. However, Penny/Leonard and Bernadette secretly spy on her just to see who he is. They can't hear any conversation, but Amy accidentally slips that she used to date Sheldon. Surprisingly, he is A HUGE FAN of Sheldon. During the dinner date, he gets obsessed with him, which causes her to end the date earlier than expected. Just as Bernadette is about to drive home, she accidentally hits Dave's car and Amy isn't happy that they spied on her. She makes a run for it without Leonard, in which she told Penny he can take the bus. In the end, Amy drives Dave home, but lets him know that their relationship won't work out because of his obsession with her ex-boyfriend. Although I miss Shamy, Dave stole the show tonight with his cool British accent and the twist about him looking up to not only Sheldon but also Leonard. Bernadette was right about Penny making a bad decision to bring Leonard with her. He could have stayed with the guys to help Sheldon find a compatible female for him. Overall, a good episode but it could've been better.
