Scorpion - Arrivals and Departures - Advance Preview

Nov 22, 2015

Scorpion, “Arrivals and Departures,” was written by the team of Aadrita Mukerji and Nicholas Wootton and was directed by Sam Hill. Mukerji steps up from assistant to writer for this episode. This is definitely a don’t miss episode. There is a terrific high stakes case at the center of the episode, but you’ll also see the team have some intense emotional moments too. Despite this being SpoilerTV, I don’t want to give too much away.

The episode opens with an SUV racing through Los Angeles as the team rushes to meet an obligation at LAX. After leaving the airport, the team suddenly finds themselves in the middle of a case. Walter (Elyes Gabel) gets some help from an unexpected source. Cabe (Robert Patrick) works with Ralph (Riley B Smith) and gets some help from Ray (Kevin Weisman) even though he’s not physically in the episode.

Walter comes face to face with one of his biggest critics. Sylvester (Ari Stidham) discovers he really does have superpowers. Sylvester also has a special surprise for Megan (Camille Gauty). Paige (Katharine McPhee) has Walter’s back – in every way – as they work together. Paige prays before pressing. As the case unfolds, it does seem that they have different ideas of what the goal is that they are trying to achieve, but eventually, they all end up on the same page. Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is faced with an impossible choice, and Sylvester answers what kind of man he is.

Here are a few random lines of dialogue. I’m not offering any hints as to who says what – and they aren’t in order!

Either it works or it doesn’t. Either way, we’re just delaying fate.
This isn’t exactly its intended use.
Words out. They’re going to seal off the building.
Away from the gunk on the walls.
I’m very close to a full psychological breakdown.
Lunch is served.
I disgust myself.
The girls are gonna dig it.
Slingshots and spitballs. Maybe this kid’s stuff is useful after all.

And the most moving line in the episode? “Don’t be afraid.” Don’t miss “Arrivals and Departures,” this week’s episode of Scorpion on CBS Monday at 9/8c!
