Scene Of The Week - November 1, 2015 + POLL

A weekly feature in which we're trying to find the most compelling, best acted, written, directed and just generally great, memorable scenes that we've seen in past seven days on TV.

ARROW, "Beyond Redemption", October 28, 2015, Actors: Paul Blackthorne, Stephen Amell and more, The Scenes: Quentin almost shoots Sara & Oliver confronts Lance
Justyna K:
There were quite a few other great scenes in this week's episode, like Oliver's speech and the argument between him and Lance. But one of the things that always got to me the most on the show was the father-daughter relationship between Quentin and Sara. Their reunion and then farewell in season 2 still remain one of my favorite scenes of the series. Paul Blackthorne has a way of truly stealing the show whenever it's about Lance's lost daughter. I may not be the biggest fan of the way Sara's getting back on the show, but I was always even more against losing her character, so I'm just happy she's slowly coming back to herself. This week, she was far from being Sara we all know, with no memories and none of her emotions. So even her father, who would give up the world to save her, doesn't see his baby girl and considers shooting her. The way he completely breaks down and can't bring himself to take the shot was just such a heartbreaking view. The actor did a stunning work with his performance this week. And I can't wait for the next episode already.
Bradley Adams: Oliver confronts Lance about working with Damien. Holy crap, Paul Blackthorne, but Stephen Amell too. What a scene this was. The contrast between Quentin's emotion and Oliver's calmness, which switched halfway through the scene, was an absolute joy, and horrible, to watch. This was the best scene the show has done for more than a year.
Ben L: Oliver gets irritated with Quentin for working with Damien and gives him a lecture on why it's horrible for him to ally with a terrible person.

FARGO, "The Myth of Sisyphus", October 26, 2015, Actors: Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons
The Scene: Peggy and Ed go to "crash" their car
Darth Locke:
Peggy and Ed go to "crash" their car in hopes of getting an insurance claim to cover their tracks.

HAVEN, "Wild Card", October 29, 2015, Actors: Laura Mennell, Emily Rose, The Scene: Charlotte dies in Audrey's arms
Aimee Hicks:
Audrey finds Charlotte, who has been mortally wounded, and cradles her in her arms. Charlotte declares how happy she was to get to know her daughter and Audrey begs her to hang on. When Charlotte succumbs to her injuries Audrey presses her face against her mom's and cries out her anguish. It was a heartbreaking scene and beautifully acted by Emily and Laura.

HEROES REBORN, "June 13th Part One", October 29, 2015, Actors: Masi Oka, Sendhil Ramamurthy
The Scene: Hiro reunites with Mohinder
Laura Markus:
Hiro reunites with Mohinder, fights the Harris clones, and also says the classic line, "Yatta!".

HOMELAND, "Why Is This Night Different?", October 25, 2015, Actors: Claire Danes and more
The Scene: Carrie's goodbye video to Frannie (picked by Darth Locke and Bradley Adams)

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, "Two Birds, One Millstone", October 29, 2015, Actors: Jack Falahee and more, The Scene: The end montage
Laura Markus:
Connor and Oliver are being watched by the secret child, Catherine is revealed to be alive...???

LIMITLESS, "Side Effects May Include…", October 27, 2015, Actors: Colin Salmon and more
The Scenes: The end scene
Laura Markus:
Brian hides his extra pills given to him by Eddie, and Sands blows up Epperly.
Darth Locke: Sands blows up Epperly's house with Epperly inside.

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF SHIELD, "4,722 Hours", October 27, 2015, Actors: Elizabeth Henstridge, Dillon Casey, The Scene: Jemma breaks down after failed attempt to send a message
Justyna K:
What an incredibly powerful and wonderfully acted episode. It's a great risk to spend entire episode with just three characters, especially on the show such a Agents of SHIELD. Thanks to the brilliant cast and talented writers, this one turned out to be quite a success. Watching Jemma's struggle to not only survive on a strange planet but to find her way back to Fitz and the team was a truly emotional experience. The moment she yells for the sun is especially memorable, yet in the end, the one scene that stood out the most in the story was Jemma's final breakdown on the planet. When she actually loses hope and for the first time realizes there's no way back for her. Letting go of the only thing that kept her going must be the hardest thing imaginable in this situation. It's quite a miracle then that she still gets to have someone by her side to hold on to. Will's a very well done and likeable character. The two really carried out the hour with Elizabeth Henstridge proving why she's one of the best actors on the show. Kudos!
Bradley Adams: Wow. Wow, wow, wow. On paper, a centric episode with a grand total of three characters was an insanely risky idea, but entrusting it to (arguably) the best actor on the show prevented it from being a risk. And it showed, because Elizabeth Henstridge absolutely knocked it out of the park, throughout. I'd love to pick the entire episode, but it was this scene that really stood out. Seeing her break down, knowing that she'd given up hope after so long, just as we knew Fitz was beginning to get closer to finding her, was utterly heartbreaking. Serious kudos to Elizabeth Henstridge here.
Aimee Hicks: Jemma breaks down in Will's arms after a failed attempt to get a message out to Fitz. It results in a kiss that showed how far the bond between these two grew in their time stranded together. It was in that moment where Jemma resigned herself to a lifetime on the planet with Will. This entire episode was a fantastic showcase of Elizabeth's talent, but that scene really stood out.

QUANTICO, "Found", October 25, 2015, Actors: Priyanka Chopra
The Scene: Alex's live interview (picked by Ben L)

SCANDAL, "Get Out of Jail, Free", October 29, 2015, Actors: Bellamy Young, Tony Goldwyn
The Scene: Mellie confronts Fitz
Klutzy girl:
Mellie drags Fitz. He deserved to hear everything she's been saying and I'm glad she told him off. Bellamy deserves an award for this episode.

SUPERGIRL, "Pilot", October 26, 2015, Actors: Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, The Scenes: Kara saves Alex & Kara watches her mom's recording with Alex
Aimee Hicks:
Kara reaches out for Alex's hand as she watches the recording her mom left for her. It was such a simple moment, but it showed that despite their differences these are two sisters who have a deep and unbreakable love for one another.
Ben L: Kara saves her sister, Alex from a plane crash.

SUPERNATURAL, "Baby", October 28, 2015, Actors: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, The Scene: Sam and Dean sing along to Bob Seger's "Night Moves"
Klutzy girl:
Sam and Dean sing along to Bob Seger's "Night Moves" in the car after Sam gets caught having sex in the Impala. The episode as a whole was great but this scene really stood out. It also helps that I love Bob Seger and that's one of my favorite songs by him.

THE FLASH, "The Fury of Firestorm", October 27, 2015, Actors: Grant Gustin, Tom Cavanagh and more, The Scene: The final scene
Justyna K:
As if King Shark (!) attacking Barry in the final scene of the hour wasn't crazy enough, Harrison Wells appears just in time to save his life. Now, that's a way to end the episode! As always, the writers never cease to amaze me with all their brilliant ideas. I really enjoyed getting these few short glimpses at Wells throughout the hour but certainly did not see this one coming. He sure knows how to make an entrance and saving the Flash is a great way to gain some trust from the team. He could definitely use all the extra points he can get at this point. I truly can't wait for the official introduction of dr. Harrison Wells to everyone. This one's going to be brilliant. Kudos!

THE LEFTOVERS, "Orange Sticker", October 25, 2015, Actors: Justin Theroux, Ann Dowd
The Scenes: The hot or cold game & Kevin decides to acknowledge Patti's presence
Geo N:
Patti talking to Kevin near the very end of the episode when Kevin decides to acknowledge her presence and speak back to her.
DarkUFO: Patti playing the hot or cold game with Kevin as he tries to find his phone.

THE WALKING DEAD, "Thank You", October 25, 2015, Actors: Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun and more
