Jay Armstrong Johnson (Sex And The City 2), Lenny Platt (How To Get Away With Murder) and Li Jun Li (Minority Report) have joined the cast of ABC’s new drama series Quantico in recurring roles. They will appear in multi-episode arcs beginning with the midseason premiere on March 6.
The thriller, recently given a full-season order with a Back 9 pickup, centers on top FBI recruit Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) on the run as the suspect in a major terrorist attack.
Paradigm-repped Johnson will play Will Olsen, a brilliant and brusque working-class kid made good. Got his PH.D from Harvard at age 22 and worked for JPL before being recruited by the FBI.
Platt, repped by Abrams Artists Agency and Vanguard Management Group, is Drew Perales, a former NFL player who retired after two years to fight a class-action lawsuit against former employers.
Li, repped by Nicolosi & Co and Schachter/Brown, plays Iris Chang. Born in Shanghai to wealthy parents, Iris is a flirtatious, beautiful Queen Bee type. She founded six start-ups while at USC and sold two to Google. Forever the ringleader, like it or not. There are hashtags with her name on them.
