Forbes: Clark, it’s been six months since the finale, but we haven’t yet seen Coulson really deal with the fact that he’s got a robot hand now…
Jeph Loeb: We think it’s a robot.
The first thing I had planned to ask was: what’s the possibility of Marvel television ever getting into sitcoms? Then, of course, we get the announcement a few weeks ago that Damage Control is in development. How far is the plan here with going into sitcoms? Could we see a Squirrel Girl Netflix series in a few years? Where does it end?
Loeb: Look, we’ve been very lucky in that the Marvel universe has different genres, different flavors, different names. We have over 9,000 characters. There are no limits to the genres that we want to go into. It’s just as we do everything, as we did in the motion picture department, as we did in animation, as we’re doing in live television, it’s just picking the right thing and mostly finding the right storytellers. In the case of bringing [Ben Karlin] in to do Damage Control, this was a property that he sparked to and spoke to. And that’s really what’s more important than anything else. There’s so much stuff on television right now that we want to be careful that everything we do feels special, feels as strong as S.H.I.E.L.D.
Gregg: I’ve got to say, as a fan, I was so psyched to read this, because it’s one of Marvel’s many superpowers. They do the funniest stuff within this genre. So many of these different shows kind of have different needles on the scale of dark to light, from the Netflix stuff to our show, and I assume Jessica Jones. I think just the idea that you’ll have one that kinda leans a little bit more in that direction is something the fans are going to go crazy for. I know I’m excited about it.

23:15 - Skin Trade - George R.R. Martin Producing Drama at Cinemax Based On His Novella
Cinemax has optioned the rights to The Skin Trade, the 1988 offbeat “werewolf noir” novella by George R.R. Martin for a TV series project, which the Game of Thrones author will executive produce. Written/executive produced by Kalinda Vazquez (Once Upon a Time), the drama, titled Skin Trade, will center on Willie Flambeaux, a collections agent who happens to be a werewolf, and his friend, Randi Wade, a private investigator, who discover a dark secret behind a series of grisly murders in their decaying industrial city.
Martin and Vazquez executive produce the project, now in development, with Martin’s manager, Vince Gerardis as well as Paul Sansone, Rich Angell, Mark B. Newbauer and Lisandro Cruz.

Our website’s mission is to promote women’s contributions to sci-fi and fantasy, and I have to say that The Originals has done a pretty great job of showcasing a lot of powerful yet very different women from many racial backgrounds. Do you know if this has been a conscious goal of the series?
Well, that’s Julie Plec. I think the same could be said of any of her shows. There are always frequent and complex female characters. And what’s lovely about The Originals is that we’re most triumphantly racially diverse. It should be. It’s set in New Orleans where it’s absolutely as diverse as it gets, and we should be seeing many cultures represented. What’s cool, in terms of your question on whether it’s a conscious choice, is that, absolutely, I think it’s a choice. Ostensibly, we’re a show aimed at women in a lot of ways, even though, as the show has grown and diversified, I’ve noticed a growing male audience that is really enjoying the show. However, particularly in our origin when we split from the mothership of The Vampire Diaries, a show with an enormous demographic of women followers, it’s been in our best interest to have strong, intelligent, sassy, cool, intellectually dexterous women at the center of these dramas. It has not only behooved us to have women wielding great intellects, but we’re also sensitive to a multiplicity of female wisdom, strength, humor and contemporary fun set amid this world of magic realism. And I think they’ve done it masterfully. Look at the number of writers we have, too. I just finished working with the writer of the last episode who’s a woman, Diane Ademu-John. Michelle Paradise wrote the episode before that. Julie wrote the one before that. It’s written by women. Are we designing this show with lots of women in mind deliberately? The short answer is absolutely.

Burbank, CA (September 25, 2015) – Josh’s younger brother stirs up a whole lot of trouble on the one-hour season finale of “Young & Hungry,” airing on Wednesday, October 14th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
In “Young & Younger Brother Part 1,” airing at 8:00pm ET/PT, Elliot and Alan’s (Bryan Safi) wedding is right around the corner, and despite Elliot’s misgivings, the couple asks Gabi to make some whimsical appetizers for their special day. When Josh’s flaky younger brother, Jake (Jayson Blair), shows up for an unexpected visit and announces he wants to be a chef, Josh hires him to help Gabi with wedding prep. But as sparks fly between the two, Josh realizes what he’s done and goes to great expense to separate the budding lovebirds. Yolanda panics when she misplaces Elliot’s wedding ring while one of the grooms feels left out of his own nuptials. Elsewhere, Jake has a huge surprise for Gabi.
In “Young & Younger Brother Part 2,” airing at 8:30pm ET/PT, Gabi is thrilled that Jake (Jayson Blair) bought her a food truck and refuses to let Josh’s doubts about their lack of a business plan discourage her. When it turns out that he was right and operating a food truck comes with a whole lot of problems and responsibilities, Gabi doesn’t want him to know how much trouble they’re in. Once the truth comes out, will Josh be able to put Gabi’s happiness before his own feelings, or will he drive away the two people that matter most? Elliott & Alan (Bryan Safi) must get a blessing from Rabbi Shapiro (Joel Books) before they exchange vows, but he’s not very impressed by what he sees. Elsewhere, Sofia and Yolanda each make a love connection at the reception.
Launch to date, “Young & Hungry” is ABC Family’s # comedy of all time in Becomers 12-34 and Women 18-34 and wins its cable time period across the key target demographics. The series and cast have been nominated for five Teen Choice Awards since its premiere in the summer of 2014.
“Young & Hungry” is produced by David Holden, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades, Caryn Lucas, and Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum in association with CBS Television Studios. Gabi Moskowitz, of BrokeAssGourmet.com, is a San Francisco based food blogger and contributed to the development of this project. With Key & Peele recently ending its five-season run, the hit sketch series’ executive producers/showrunners Ian Roberts and Jay Martel have sold another half-hour comedy with a male duo at the center — this one a little older. Titled The Romeos, the single-camera comedy has been set up at ABC and ABC Studios.
Written and executive produced by Roberts and Martel, The Romeos (stands for Retired Older Men Eating Out) has a Grumpy Old Men vibe and centers on two completely dissimilar 65-year-old neighbors who join forces to take full advantage of their second acts, driving each other, and everyone around them, crazy in the process.

Two-time Emmy winner Jane Alexander is headed to USA.
The Good Wife actress joins Battlestar Galactica alum James Callis in the cast of the network's drama pilot Brooklyn Animal Control, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Callis will portray Vilhelmiina Tolk's youngest son, Theodore. Theodore has an easy charm that hides his calculating ambitions — chief among them his belief that, despite centuries of matriarchy, he could claim his mother's mantle. Callis' other credits include the Bridget Jones films, CSI and A.D. He is repped by Innovative Artists, Alan Siegel Entertainment and Emptage Hallett.

01:30 - 2 Greg Berlanti Dramas From Chris Fedak & Jennifer Johnson Set at CBS As Put Pilots
On the heels of a strong launch for Greg Berlanti Prods.’ current drama series, the company has set up two more hight-profile hourlong projects for next season. CBS has given put pilot commitments to Out of Body, written by Jennifer Johnson, and an untitled project from Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak. Both hail from Berlanti Prods. and Warner Bros. TV, where the company and the two writers are based, with Berlanti and Sarah Schechter executive producing.
Written/executive produced by Johnson, Out of Body centers on a former criminal who inexplicably begins to jump into bodies of people in danger and has to use his skills to prevent them from being murdered or he could end up in a body bag himself. Todd Garner also executive produces.
Written/executive produced by Fedak, the untitled second project centers on a young tech genius billionaire who utilizes his cutting-edge technology and resources to partner with a street-smart but old-school San Francisco police detective to solve crimes committed by 21st century criminals. Fedak serves as an executive producer on Berlanti Prods’ upcoming CW drama Legends of Tomorrow having worked as an executive producer on Forever last season.
Berlanti Prods. has six broadcast series this season. It is behind NBC drama Blindspot, the highest-rated new series this fall, which just received a full-season order. The company’s CW dramas The Flash and Arrow both returned to strong ratings this week and NBC sophomore The Mysteries of Laura has been steady. Coming up are the company’s CBS drama Supergirl and the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow.

EXCLUSIVE: The Borgias‘ alum Francois Arnaud has booked a recurring role on NBC’s thriller drama series Blindspot. Written by Martin Gero and directed by Mark Pellington, Blindspot centers on a mysterious Jane Doe (Jaime Alexander) who is found in a body bag in NYC’s Times Square with tattoos all over her body, including the address of the FBI agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) who found her.
Arnaud will play a mysterious character from Jane’s distant past.
