Everyone loves and hates flashback wigs with equal measure. We do our best. What most people don’t know is that wigs do not like humidity. At all. This summer in Atlanta was horribly hot and rainy. Please address all complaints about flashback wigs to El Nino.

This episode also welcomed Tracy Ifeachor as ancient vampire Aya. Tracy originally was hired to appear in the final scene of last season’s finale, only we ended up dropping the scene. But we loved her, so we created a new role for her this year. Stay tuned later this season for flashbacks to the Crusades where we’ll learn Aya’s backstory.

  • 22:05 - Da Vinci’s Demons - Cancelled Series - Could Return for a Fourth Season
Thanks to Brian for the heads up.
"There's a possibility we could do a fourth season in a couple of years," he said. "There's an idea that takes place 15 years later.

"Say we did it four or five years later, it would be a self-contained eight-episode thing. We may still do that, as it takes place during the Bonfire of the Vanities."

However, Goyer also reassured fans of the show that it will definitely have a satisfying ending in case it doesn't come back.

  • 22:05 - The Better Half - ABC Developing Comedy about a Mexican-American Family
ABC is developing The Better Half, a multi-camera comedy from comedian Patti Vasquez, TV writer Emilia Serrano and ABC Studios. In conjunction with The Better Half, ABC Studios has inked a talent deal with Vasquez. There is a possibility for her to star in the project, though that has not been determined.

The Better Half, inspired by Vasquez’s family, centers on a Mexican-American working mother who is a well-intentioned and sometimes-misguided citizen disrupter. She tackles the small and large injustices around her for the greater good, even though many times no one asks her to. Her well-meaning actions create consequences that affect her career, community and home life in the crowded Chicago brownstone she shares with her parents, husband and children.

The project — the first network comedy created by two Latinas — originally was developed by Tapestry Television’s Michael Schreiber, who will executive produce with Peter Abrams and Robert Levy. Vasquez’s business partner Kevin Cleary also will be a producer on the project.

  • 10:30 - South Park - Being Sued By Yelp - Creators Respond With A Yelp Review
Matt Stone and Trey Parker have never been afraid of offending anyone. South Park has had digs at organised religion, the disabled, and a host of celebrities including Ben Affleck, George W. Bush, Tom Cruise, Princess Diana and Michael Jackson – so taking on a big national corporation is no big deal.
Their latest episode targeted its satirical cross-hairs directly at Yelp, the hugely popular crowd-sourced review site. In their attempt to mock the company, Parker and Stone painted them as self-important food critics… and then proceeded to compare Yelpers to members of ISIS. Ouch.
As you can imagine the powers that be at Yelp aren’t too happy about the episode, and are suing the pair for a whopping $10 million in damages.
Yelp’s official statement was pretty strong:

  • 22:40 - Krypton - In Development TV Project - David Goyer Says Krypton Takes Place 200 Years Before Man Of Steel
Thanks to RD for the heads up.
At a press junket for Da Vinci's Demons ComicBook's Ashley Robinson managed to sneak in a couple of questions about David S. Goyer's in-development DC Comics TV project, Krypton. The show, meant to show Krypton at its height of power, is in development at Syfy, but not much has been revealed about it so far. Now we know when it takes place, relative to the DC film universe that was launched with Man of Steel, which showed a bit of Krypton itself.

"It takes place 200 years before Man of Steel," Goyer said at the junket. "We're treating Krypton like it's a historical piece," which is something it shares with the TV show he was there to directly promote. "We look to previous cultures on Earth to model what that would be like."

hey plan to show a lot more than what was seen in Man of Steel, of course, which focused primarily on the end of Krypton as it exploded due to generations of abuse of the world. The idea of digging deep attracted Goyer.

"We scratched the surface in the film and, for me, that was the allure," he said. "I was always fascinated, as a kid, with the books about Krypton and they’ve only shaded in a tiny bit, so we’ll learn about the politics of the world. We’ll learn about the culture, the art, all the different guilds."

  • 22:40 - Gotham - Season 2 - EP Confirms Azrael Coming to Gotham with Order of St. Dumas
Thanks to RD for the heads up.

A key piece of that mythology was the reveal that the Galavan family is really of the Dumas line, and that the Order of St. Dumas is involved in their scheme of revenge against Gotham in general and the Wayne family in particular. Of course, in the comic books, where the Order of St. Dumas goes, typically their chief warrior follows, and that means Azrael could come to Gotham in some form, and very soon. We asked Gotham EP John Stephens about the Order of St. Dumas and their warrior vigilante, and he was surprisingly candid.

"We will be going deeper into the Order of St. Dumas over the next run of episodes, and it will continue to play an evolving role for the rest of the season," Stephens told ComicBook.com exclusively. Of course, there was a second half, and when I asked him about the link between St. Dumas and Azrael, he blew my mind. "And yes, we wouldn’t be telling an Order of St. Dumas story without also intending to tell an Azrael story. Just keep watching.”
