  • 23:50 - The Kingkiller Chronicle - Movies, a TV Show and Video Games in Development
Thanks to RD for the heads up.
Fantasy fans, get ready for an epic dive into the world of author Patrick Rothfuss’ The Kingkiller Chronicle. After visiting with a number of major Hollywood studios over the summer, Rothfuss and Lionsgate have agreed on a deal which will adapt the author’s books into movies, a TV series, and video games. The studio’s flexibility on their end of the deal actually helped to sway Rothfuss, who admits he wasn’t particularly interested in a straight-up movie deal since Hollywood has a habit of adapting character-focused sagas as action-oriented one-shots. When they offered to give his characters more screentime in the form of a TV series and video games, along with feature films, that sealed the deal.

  • 23:50 - HBO Eyeing Watchmen TV Series from Zack Snyder
Thanks to RD for the heads up.
It’s with that in mind that we report that Snyder has been meeting with HBO to talk about a Watchmen TV series. Our sources tell us that the meetings about adapting the DC Comics property have taken place, but unfortunately we don’t have any details as to whether this would be a prequel series, a re-imagining of the events of the Watchmen story itself, or a sequel series.

  • 22:00 - Fuller House - New Casting News
The Tanner/Gibbler clan is upping its ranks when Fuller House premieres on Netlix in 2016, and now, TVLine can confirm the actors portraying DJ and Kimmy’s offspring.

DJ’s older son Jackson — whom we’ve been told could also go by “JD,” a nod to his mom’s name — will be played by Michael Campion, while her younger son Max will be played by Elias Harger.
“She’s in mom mode, full-time,” Candace Cameron Bure recently told TVLine of Fuller‘s DJ.

“She’s not a teenager anymore, but she’s still really fun. She also has to keep her boys under control without a husband, so she’s got to be a disciplinarian.”

Rounding out the trio is Soni Nicole Bringas, who appeared as a dancer in an episode of Jane the Virgin, playing Kimmy’s daughter Ramona.

  • 22:00 - Continuum - Roger Cross Interview
Thanks to RD for the heads up.
Can you talk about the tentative relationship between Liber8 and Kiera this season? It’s foreign to die-hard fans.

Roger Cross: What I love about it is that it shows growth. I grew up very religious, Christian. That’s my belief system and my doctrine, but later on you discover there’s a lot of beauty in the Muslim religion and in Buddhism. If you expand you mind and your views … you know. With Kiera, she came in with this one mind that we’re so bad, but in the end we’re trying to help people. It’s a great growth for her and for us as well. Travis has a very militant way of doing things and he learns that maybe that’s not always the best way. It’s a coming together and learning from each other.

What are you taking from the set?

I’m going to take some gear. Or maybe a piece of a time ball. Where’s the prop department? I need to cozy up to them. [Laughs.]

  • 22:00 - Marvel Movies to Eventually Reference the TV Shows
Thanks to RD for the heads up.
"I think that's inevitable at some point as we're plotting the movies going forward and they're doing the shows," he explained during the Age of Ultron event at the Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles on September 29th.
The issue thus far, he said, is that the schedules for the TV shows and movies "do not always quite match up to make that possible."

"It's easier for them. They're more nimble and faster and produce things quicker than we do, which is one of the main reasons you see the repercussions of Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron in the show," Feige said. "Going forward and certainly as they begin to do more shows and cast them with such great actors as they have -- particularly Daredevil -- that that may occur. A lot of it is by the time we start doing a movie, they'd be midway through a season; by the time it comes out they'd be done with the second, starting the third season. Finding timing on that is not always easy."

  • 22:00 - The 1970’s - NBC Musical Series from Adam Levine Has Been Scrapped by NBC
NBC won't be going back to the 1970s after all.
The network has scrapped plans for The 1970s, a miniseries produced by Adam Levine and his 222 Productions banner and Sony Pictures Television, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The 1970swas poised to explore the decade through the eyes of the music executives and artists who helped create some of the most influential music of the era.

Sources tell THR that Hayden Christensen and Kelsey Grammer were engaging to play the leads.

Producers, insiders say, went back to NBC to see if the casting would get the network to go straight to series on the project, instead of the planned pilot presentation. Insiders say NBC toyed with the numbers but ultimately decided it didn't want to take the gamble and pulled the plug completely. Producers are said to be coming up with new ideas for a different music project.
