Scene Of The Week - October 25, 2015 + POLL

Oct 25, 2015

A weekly feature in which we're trying to find the most compelling, best acted, written, directed and just generally great, memorable scenes that we've seen in past seven days on TV.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY, "Mommy", October 21, 2015, Actors: Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson
The Scene: Iris gets Sally to help her commit suicide
Maximilian Conte:
Iris getting Sally to help her commit suicide by overdose. Their exchanges are some of the best parts of this season, and both actresses are unbeatable. Kathy Bates killed it in this scene.

ARROW, "Restoration", October 21, 2015, Actors: David Ramsey, Neal McDonough and more, The Scenes: Damien gets angry at Fayed & Oliver saves Diggle & Felicity fires an automatic weapon
Bradley Adams:
Damien getting angry at Fayed and asking Double Down for 'another demonstration'. I am legitimately terrified of Damien Darkh. Neal McDonough is just brilliant in the role.
Ben L: Oliver taking a bullet for Diggle and their friendship is saved.
Prpleight: Felicity fires an automatic weapon at Double Down (with her eyes closed).

BLINDSPOT, "Split the Law", October 19, 2015, Actors: Marianne Jean-Baptiste and more
The Scene: The stand off between the FBI and the CIA
Darth Locke:
The stand off between the FBI and the CIA at the grave yard.
Prpleight: The FBI draws on the CIA in the grave yard.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, "The Oolong Slayer", October 18, 2015, Actors: Andre Braugher, Andy Samberg and more, The Scene: Captain Holt returns to 99th precinct
Justyna K:
The show has really become my favorite comedy currently on TV. It's genuinely hilarious and heartwarming with strong, original characters, talented writers and cast. If you're looking for a new "feel good" series, this is a great choice. Probably one of the best relationships on the show, for me, has to be Holt and Jake's friendship. Those two have really had a significant impact on each other's lives since the beginning of the show and whether they're working together or competing, the fun is guaranteed. There's a short, yet meaningful scene at the end of this week's episode, where Captain Holt finally returns to the precinct (with Gina) and we find out that Jake gave up his dream (of catching a serial killer) to make Holt's come true. I love the character development there and it's great to see Captain and Gina back. Gina also made quite an entrance and it was a perfect final shot of the episode, seeing everyone happily reunited. Kudos!

CASTLE, "The Nose", October 19, 2015, Actors: Stephnie Weir, Nathan Fillion
The Scene: Castle makes Mia leave her apartment
Jimmy Ryan:
Castle farts in the apartment of Mia Laszlo, forcing her to leave and assist him with the case.

FARGO, "Before the Law", October 19, 2015, Actors: Patrick Wilson, Cristin Milioti and more, The Scenes: Lou knocks on the door of the butcher shop & The Kitchen Brothers show the middle finger to Hank & Betsy and Molly play in the snow and find the gun
Maximilian Conte:
Lou notices the light on at the butcher shop in the middle of the night and knocks on the door; Ed is inside putting Rye's body through the meat grinder. The scene is full of everything that Fargo is great at; dark humour, chilling scenarios, great imagery, and tons of suspense.
Nirat Anop: The Kitchen Brothers show the middle finger to Hank after he asks what size shoes they were. I found this scene hilariously funny, and Mike Milligan's speech to Hank was perfect.
Darth Locke: Betsy and Molly are playing in the snow outside the Wafflehouse restaurant, when Betsy finds a gun and calls Lou over to take it.

GREY'S ANATOMY, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", October 22, 2015, Actors: Ellen Pompeo and more, The Scenes: Meredith screams at Amelia & Meredith and Alex drink together & Meredith reveals Penny's role in Derek's death & Meredith confronts Penny
Nirat Anop:
Meredith screams at Amelia. The way Meredith broke down and yelled at Amelia was one of the most heartbreaking performances I have ever seen Ellen Pompeo give. She was incredible, I felt her snap "I did nothing to you". 250 Episodes of Grey's! I'm so proud of the show and everything it's accomplished over the years.
Maximilian Conte: Meredith and Alex drinking after she reveals that Derek was Penny's patient. Their friendship is one of my favourite aspects of the show. The scenes were both funny and touching, and I love that Alex knew something was wrong right away. Him mouthing 'Sorry' to Callie when Meredith closed the door on her was great.
Jamie Coudeville: Meredith reveals Penny's role in Derek's death to everyone. This is the moment I had been looking forward to all week and it didn't disappoint. Both the scene and the build-up were perfectly executed.
Ben L: Meredith standing up to Penny for what she did to Derek!!!!!

HAWAII FIVE 0, "Ka 'alapahi nui (Big Lie)", October 23, 2015, Actors: Alex O'Loughlin and more
The Scene: The team finishes their race
Laura Markus:
The team finishes their race and have a big group hug. Honorable mention: The father who was killed was revealed to be living a double life.

HEROES REBORN, "Game Over", October 22, 2015, Actors: Danika Yarosh, Zachary Levi

Malina saves Luke's life after a suicide attempt. Honorable mention: Hiro reunites with Noah.

HOMELAND, "Super Powers", October 18, 2015, Actors: Claire Danes and more
The Scenes: Carrie breaks down & Jonas becomes enraged at Carrie
Bradley Adams:
Carrie breaks down upon 'realising' who is after her.
Darth Locke: Jonas becomes enraged at Carrie, when her condition sets in.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, "Meet Bonnie", October 22, 2015, Actors: Jack Falahee, Conrad Ricamora, The Scene: Connor tells Oliver he loves him
Laura Markus:
Connor tells Oliver he loves him. Honorable mention: Connor, Michaela, and Laurel finally find out about Levi.

REIGN, "Extreme Measures", October 23, 2015, Actors: Anna Popplewell, Craig Parker
The Scene: Lola and Narcisse' wedding
Jamie Coudeville:
I've really grown to love these two together, so I'm very glad to see them happy together. I just hope Catherine doesn't ruin it.

SCANDAL, "You Got Served", October 22, 2015, Actors: Jeff Perry, Tony Goldwyn, The Scene: Cyrus reels off a list of demands to Fitz
Jimmy Ryan:
Cyrus reels off a list of demands to Fitz in order to secure his services. A truly awesome, epic scene. Jeff Perry was phenomenal.
Jamie Coudeville: I'm glad to see them back on the same side. Great acting by both actors.

THE FLASH, "Family of Rogues", October 20, 2015, Actors: Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton and more, The Scenes: Harrison Wells comes through the portal & Barry saves Iris
Justyna K:
The Flash is doing an excellent job with all those unexpected endings. I can't wait to finally meet Harrison Wells! We barely know anything about the man from our side from the flashbacks before Eobard took his place. It's absolutely great and exciting to learn how different (or similar) they'll turn out to be. And the team's reaction will surely be brilliant. Exactly what I've been waiting for since we found out about the multiverse on the show. Eobard ended up being one of the best villains I've seen (certainly on TV) and I'm looking forward to what the brilliant Tom Cavanagh is going to do with this new character. Kudos to the crew for their brilliant work and here's to many more of these twists and scenes in the next episodes!
Ben L: After Iris fell out of the window, Barry saves her life.

THE PLAYER, "House Rules", October 22, 2015, Actors: Philip Winchester, Daisy Betts
The Scene: Alex talks to Ginny on the phone
Prpleight:
Alex talks to Ginny on the phone confirming what he desperate hoped that she is alive.
