Happy early Halloween, this episode is another absolutely excellent episode. Here’s my preview, and be back on Tuesday for my full review (sorry I haven't been as punctual with my reviews, I've been so busy with assignments etc for University).
Constance Wu continues to shine in this episode. Emery & Evan have the best costumes and Grandma Huang could not have be more awesome (last week was her best episode yet!), her one liners are comedic gold!
Bless you Jessica, her confidence exudes in this one scene in Tuesday night's episode. It's so perfectly Jessica Hang, and I laughed so much, if only everyone did this to judgmental people.
One thing I’m loving about this episode is more screen time for Honey and the team up of her with Jessica. It’s great to seeing them hanging out more and interacting this season. They make a great team (and with 22 episodes this season, the possibilities are endless!)
Something hilariously, out of this world, takes off on Jessica’s car and her innocent reaction is on point. I can't wait for you to see it.
Jessica and Honey have the BEST scene in this episode, it seriously had me rolling in laughter. You’re going to love it when you see it, it involves Tic Tac’s.
Louis gives an excellent speech about Halloween, it may just be his most favorite time of the year. We also get to see more of the neighborhood and those housewives, Evan likes to spend his free time with. I'm quite surprised he has such an integral role in the Neighborhood Watch (my Neighborhood Watch isn't even that exciting).
We get a Muppets crossover off sorts (not the actual muppets, more costumes, you’ll see)… Serisouly, though, Jessica has a great thing to say about Miss Piggy. I’d like to see Miss Piggy's reaction when she heard what Jessica had to say.
One scene with Jessica and Louis is wonderful, I love how the relationship Jessica and Louis have, it’s heartwarming. However, the ending is hilarious, the dialogue is so fresh and funny.
Right at the end, the final glimpse of something had me worried...
Dialogue Teasers
“If that’s how they keep their marriage fresh, no thank you”
“Begging for candy in a disguise”
"Nothing brightens up the home like a bowl of fake fruit"
"The web of lies..."
"I will admit, once again, how right I was about that."
