Thanks to tsukikomew for the heads up.
OK, this whole movies-becoming-TV-shows thing is starting to get Cruel.
NBC has ordered a pilot script for a follow-up series based on the 1999 Ryan Phillippe/Reese Witherspoon classic Cruel Intentions, our sister site Deadline reports.
The series would reportedly be set in San Francisco, where Bash Casey — the son of Sebastian Valmont (Phillippe) and Annette Hargrove (Witherspoon) — moves from Kansas to claim his previously unknown legacy after discovering Sebastian’s journals.
OK, let’s start with the obvious questions: Did Sebastian somehow get Annette pregnant before he died? Why does their son live in Kansas? Why is his last name Casey? And how is this show not being made for The CW?!
