Thanks to tsukikomew for the heads up.
EXCLUSIVE: All Of Me, Carl Reiner’s 1984 body-swapping feature comedy that starred Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin, is heading to television. NBC is developing an All Of Me half-hour comedy series, loosely based on the movie, with My Boys creator Betsy Thomas set to write and serve as executive producer/showrunner. Universal Television, whose sibling Universal Pictures produced the movie, is the studio.
All Of Me starred Martin as attorney Roger Cobb hired by dying eccentric millionairess Edwina Cutwater (Tomlin) to rework her will, making a beautiful young woman her soul beneficiary as Edwina arranges for a mystic to transfer her soul into the young woman’s body. The transfer goes awry, and Roger ends up having to share his body with Edwina’s soul. (you can watch a trailer below)
I hear the NBC adaptation would be an anthology series, with a different person jumping into the protagonist’s body every week as he tries to help solve the problems that are holding them back.
