Star in Series, with Guest Star James Earl Jones
This fall, America will face off against threats both foreign and domestic with a secret weapon in TNT's Agent X, a spirited new action-drama starring Oscar® nominee and Emmy®, Golden Globe® winner Sharon Stone (Casino), Jeff Hephner (Boss, Chicago Fire) and Gerald McRaney (House of Cards). Produced by TNT Originals in association with Beacon Pictures, Agent X is set to launch with a two-hour premiere Sunday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). TNT will make episodes available via TNT On Demand and the Watch TNT website and mobile apps the day after they air on the network.
In times of extreme crisis, when traditional law and government aren’t in a position to help, there is an unseen hand that works to protect this country and its citizens from all manner of threats by any means necessary. Hidden from the view of the public and known only to a handful of people at the top echelons of power, this protector is John Case (Hephner), a special agent trained and ready to serve at the exclusive, careful discretion of the Vice President (Stone).
Case is a smooth, athletic, tough and quick-witted operative who can be brutally effective when his duties require it. His boss, Vice President Natalie Maccabee, pledges to protect the country "against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Honoring this vow, however, will force her and her secret operative to tackle not only global threats but also the palace of intrigue known as Washington D.C. With Case handling high-stakes missions that are too sensitive for the FBI and the CIA, Maccabee soon finds herself being drawn into the action.
McRaney plays Malcolm Millar, the Chief Steward of the Vice President's mansion and the keeper of its many secrets. It is he who reveals to Vice President Maccabee the nature of her special responsibilities and who introduces her to John Case, the man currently assigned to serve as "Agent X."
Also starring in Agent X are Jamey Sheridan (Arrow, Homeland) as FBI Director Stanton, John Shea (The Good Wife, Gossip Girl) as President Thomas Echkart and Mike Colter (Million Dollar Baby, The Good Wife) as Speaker of the House Miles Latham. In addition, James Earl Jones (The Hunt for Red October, The Lion King) guest stars in a recurring role as Supreme Court Chief Justice Caleb Thorne.
Agent X is executive-produced by Armyan Bernstein (Air Force One, Spy Game, Castle) Sharon Stone, William Blake Herron (The Bourne Identity), Jesse Alexander (Hannibal), Suzann Ellis (Galaxy Quest) and Peter O'Fallon (The Riches, UnReal, Eureka).
