NCIS - Stop the Bleeding (Season Premiere) - Advance Preview and Teasers

NCIS returns with its thirteenth season this Tuesday, and the season premiere continues from last season's big cliffhanger in which Gibbs was shot. CBS has been kind enough to send us a screener of the season premiere in advance of the episode's airing, so here is a preview and a few teasers from that episode.

Following his shooting at the hands of Luke Harris, Gibbs is brought to the USS Daniel Webster, where he gets immediate treatment from Dr. Cyril Taft (played by special guest star Jon Cryer). While being in surgery, Gibbs of course sees Mike Franks again. He also sees his daughter Kelly, leading to some emotional moments between the two. There are various other memories and key figures that are part of Gibbs' dream while in surgery. The role of Kelly Gibbs has been recast again, and she is now played by Mila Brener. Gibbs' surgery and recovery are a big part of the episode.

The Calling is also still out there, and Daniel Budd is still at large after Gibbs' shooting. Tony works with Joanna Teague to try to track him down. Eventually, they follow a lead and travel to Shangai. There, they work with another CIA officer who has information on the possible whereabouts of Budd. The hunt for Budd leads to a few dramatic moments in Shangai, but I can't tell you too much about it.

Here are a few other teasers from "Stop the Bleeding":
-There will be a time jump in the episode.
-Besides Budd, Matthew Rousseau will also return. In case you need a reminder, Rousseau is also a leader of The Calling, but he was captured in episode 23 of last season. In the season premiere he will once again taunt the team like he did last season.
-There are quite a few references to the late agent Dorneget. In fact, he might even play an important role in this episode.
-Luke Harris will return as well.
-In addition to the main storylines, there are also mentions of rising tension in North Korea that are part of the episode.
-The situation with Gibbs leads to some tension between various team members.

Here's a promo for the season premiere. Watch the episode this Tuesday September 22 at 8/7c on CBS.
