Upcoming NBC drama Chicago Med has completed its new female cast additions with the hire of Marlyne Barrett (The Wire).
The Chicago Fire spinoff producers had said that they would introduce three new female characters in the wake of the departure of original cast member Laurie Holden. That includes Barrett and recently cast Torrey DeVitto and Rachel DiPillo.
Barrett will play Maggie, a multi-tasking force of nature, a battle-ax with wit and sass.
