After last week’s exciting cliffhanger, I was really looking forward to seeing everyone’s reaction to the accusation that Minx is Drill. Going into the episode I was torn about whether or not I thought Minx was truly Drill. It seems too easy and convenient. No matter what, either scenario is terrible for her. Either she is possessed and the Minx that we knew is dead, or she is being falsely accused and could die because of it. It’s a no-win situation. Throughout the entire episode, Minx is in custody and being questioned by everyone, including her father, Wes. He obviously gets very emotional throughout the episode because he’s already lost so much and Minx is all he has left. This episode is entirely focused on determining who Drill has possessed. The decision is even more heartbreaking because Wes simply refuses to except that Drill has possessed Minx. The episode was much more emotional than I expected and I even found myself tearing up a bit and feeling sorry for Minx. This whole episode was sad because we got to see a totally different side to Minx, through flashbacks, but it just might be too little, too late. I’ve thought for so long that Minx is super creepy but after this episode and the flashbacks I feel kind of bad for her. In the end, everything played out pretty much the way that I expected with Minx being sentenced to death because of Drill’s supposed possession.

As a result of them determining that Minx is Drill, all the children are released home. This is the silliest part of the whole show, in my opinion. These parents understand that their children are in danger and yet they want them back at home instead of presumably safely away from Drill. I can kind of understand the regular parents wanting this because they are more in the dark but Sean knows the extent of Drill’s reach. It’s like when Lena had the idea to take Minx away. That was a great idea…just a little too late. Taking all the children off the grid is basically the same thing, so I’ve never understood why everyone was so eager to get them back into Drill’s reach. I guess now that Drill has possessed someone it’s less important but it’s still kind of strange.

This episode also includes the public becoming aware of Drill and everything that has been going on the past few weeks. The president has a press conference to explain it all but things do not go according to plan. The end will have you on the edge of your seat, with multiple time sensitive situations that are very dramatic and exciting, but there really isn't a true cliffhanger leading into the finale. Overall, this episode was an emotional roller coaster and my opinions on certain characters were totally flipped around. I’m really looking forward to next week’s finale because based on the events of this episode, things are going to really get crazy!

Are you excited for tonight’s new episode of The Whispers? Do you think Minx is really Drill? Let me know in the comments and tune in to ABC, Monday at 10pm!
