  • 01:30 - MOVIES: Nightmare on Elm Street - Being Remade Again
Thanks to Alex Mack wears a hat for the heads up.
One, two Freddy’s coming for you. Three, four a remake’s in store. In an effort to ensure that audiences never sleep again, New Line Cinema is moving forward with a remake/reboot of the iconic horror franchise NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. Plans are to scrap the lackluster 2010 reboot and start with a fresh new take.

Plot details are kept under lock and key, though fans can safely assume that the red-and-green sweater/fedora wearing Freddy Krueger will once again be up to his old tricks, ready to terrorize a new group of sleep-deprived youngsters. There’s no producer on board yet, but Orphan scribe David Leslie Johnson has been tapped to script. Toby Emmerich, Walter Hamada, and Dave Neustadter will oversee for New Line.

Ever since Wes Craven’s 1984 classic A Nightmare on Elm Street gave birth to horror icon Freddy Krueger, the franchise has become a cultural phenomenon and established its place alongside slasher faves like Halloween and Friday The 13th. Spanning nine films in total, including a remake and crossover Freddy Vs. Jason, the series has also spun-off into other media, generating over twelve novels, multiple comic books, several video games, and even a television series.

  • 23:10 - NCIS - Season 13 - Interview with Jon Cryer + First Look Photo
Thanks to arrowshieldfan and Daniel for the heads up.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: We know Dr. Taft’s great at his job. What’s his personality like?
JON CRYER: He’s kind of the Jeff Goldblum of naval surgeons. Bit of a wiseass. Way too comfortable making jokes in the operating room. Can probably play a mean jazz piano.

Is he a good guy, or can we expect something more sinister?
I think he’s a good guy. But I’m also one of those people who believe that the right set of circumstances can turn a good guy bad.

What will NCIS fans find most fascinating about Taft, and what do you find most fascinating about him?

So far, the writers have only hinted at the depths of him. What I’m looking forward to is seeing his friendship with Gibbs. He’s not the kind of guy Gibbs usually takes to.

  • 22:35 - Blood and Oil - TCA Interview with Don Johnson and Execs
Thanks to Spindae 2 for the heads up.
And while Johnson holds the iconic TV character of J.R. Ewing, played by the late Larry Hagman, in high regard, he shrugs off that comparison as well. “I know a lot of these [powerful] guys, so I took an amalgamation … and rolled them into Hap Briggs,” his Blood & Oil alter ego.

Premiering Sunday, Sept. 27 at 9/8c, Blood & Oil follows young marrieds Billy (Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford) and Cody Lefever (Red Band Society‘s Rebecca Rittenhouse) as they make tracks for Rock Springs, North Dakota, where “a millionaire is made every day” in the wake of a massive oil find. There they meet Hap Briggs, “the Baron of the Bakken” of North Dakota, who is willing to play a little dirty to get what he wants.

Airing on Sunday evening, “We are in historically a primetime soap slot,” notes Johnson, who is also an executive producer on the series, “and my feeling was, is, and remains that we are elevating the expectations to a higher level.

  • 03:30 - Coach - Andrew Ridings Cast as Hayden's Son
Hey, Andrew Ridings, I think Craig T. Nelson has a baton he’d like to pass to you.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor set to play Tim Fox, the now-adult son of Nelson’s Hayden, in NBC’s forthcoming Coach revival, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Far more easygoing and empathetic than his dad, Tim is a successful high school football coach who is offered the chance to be the head coach of the Penn Institute Of Science and Technology (PIST), and carve a winning football team out of the dweeby student body. But there’s a little caveat: they want Tim to hire his controlling (and now-retired) dad to be his assistant coach. Tim knows it’s only a matter of time before he and his old man are butting heads over how to coach and how to raise Tim’s son Cody.
